This year will be quite exciting. The halving will reduce the bitcoin supply. The block size increase will facilliate more transactions.

I don't think it will be an boring year, I have a strong feeling that it will be good, positive and exciting year for bitcoins, as this year guarantee us some good value of bitcoins due to halving, so it would be interesting to watch what bitcoin holds for us.

this year will definitely not be boring. we have the upcomming block halving that may drive the price up significantly due to the speculation, and if there is an agreement regarding the block size issue, then the price will get another boost. all ingredients for a nice and profitable year are here. a lot opportunities to make a nice profit. |

this year was fur sure a very exciting year for bitcoin. the price has already risen to $450 and back below $350 and back again above $400 like a rollercoaster. and on top of that we are all waiting for the big event called the halvening. |

this year was fur sure a very exciting year for bitcoin. the price has already risen to $450 and back below $350 and back again above $400 like a rollercoaster. and on top of that we are all waiting for the big event called the halvening. I bet to differ. Sure the first months were not full of action. but every year with a block halving is interesting. This year being that year makes it very exciting. Everybody is anticipating on something price wise. So am I. |

2016 will be incredibly boring. Nothing is going to happen.
You jsut have to look the current market trends: huge nothing between 400 and 450 xD

I do not think this is true do to the fact the halving is also coming so the bitcoin market will jump for sure, so I think it will be the year of the bitcoin.
I think are wrong if you think about that, the bitcoin will go to a high amount for sure and there is a lot gonna happen this year.

Yes this year is not the boring year. As halving is taking place in this year surely there is a increase in the price of bitcoin. The years starting was a bit bad. With that we should not conclude. Oh yeah and there is the halving too. Forgot that one. Though I'm not sure it'll be really important because let's be honest it was probably already priced in ^^ |

I find this recent video of the Daily Decrypt intriguing. It suggests that for bitcoin to achieve progress in the arms race that has become digital currencies, it'd need to establish some meaningful form of governance for development. I'm not saying that I agree with that statement but I haven't seen it being discussed. With nothing but toxic debate coming out of the community for the last few months, it's not that surprising that some say it might be overtaken or reach hiatus. |

It depends on your trading strategy. For me, I do not trade and will buy and hold the bitcoin for the long term. |

The last few weeks before the block halving will be a great time for day traders and others who are looking for heavy volatility. If you are smart and use your brains you will make yourself a great profit. If you don't know how to trade then stay far away from trading during that time. Otherwise it will be a very expensive lesson for you. |

Isn't the nature of the problem that there is a fumbling type of government - Core & Chinese miners - that large amounts of people aren't happy with? I think it would take an awful lot for current users to jump ship, but there's probably an untapped appetite for something that may bring in enough new users to swallow up the old guard, most of whom are just in it for the money anyway and would jump ship too. The hard core may be left behind but even a significant number of them want something that just works. If Bitcoin can't do that then they're going to shop elsewhere too. Question is whether any type of transition could be made without a general loss of faith. |
