I'm still formulating a plan for these reserves. There are a multitude of options coming and the field changes daily. At this particular moment I'd like to say we're going to order 10+ 400Gh/s Bitfury kits, but I don't know because they're not available yet & haven't been reviewed yet. I have the same information everyone else has.

Cheers.

How about a motion?

Hi dexX7. A motion would be a bit premature at this point. Bitfury has products scheduled for August delivery so we've an opportunity to get a look at shipping products before any hypothetical order need be placed allowing us to make a more informed decision. I don't believe they have anything available for delivery prior to October. I'm merely trying to get the discussion rolling. Certainly a motion would be appropriate for such a large expenditure when the time comes.

Cheers.

Hi davos, thanks for the heads up. I understand the first run doesn't clock very high and lacks overclocking capabilities completely, but the cost/Gh and the efficiency are certainly appear attractive. If the stated specs are solid it'd be tough to see a situation where we failed to at least break even on a 400Gh/s kit priced around 80BTC.

I pretty much creamed myself imaging what 10x 400Gh/s would feel like.

TMI BUDDY TMI

...but if reviews are favorable from recipients of Bitfury gear scheduled for August delivery then we could very well go in that direction.

Do I take that to mean you'd wait for the October deliveries? How do the various delivery periods/costs fit into your difficulty projections?

I don't think we have a choice, unfortunately. Though they still have gear listed for sale at megabigpower.com for August delivery, it's all sold out(inventory = zero). We know that knc is supposed to be delivering in September/October as well, and we know that ASICMiner has stated that they'd see massive deployment by the end of 2013. I don't see a large reduction in network expansion for some while yet unless the exchange rate falls sharply, so our best play here IMO is to deploy the most efficient gear we can find as quickly as we can get our hands on it. At this point that looks like Bitfury(or perhaps knc) in October and possibly any additional BFL gear I can turn up at a reasonable price now. Though I find pre-orders distasteful, if Bitfury delivers to August customers AND their products meet their specs, I believe I could hold my nose and pull the trigger.

Cheers.

Hey Creative,

I'm a current share holder (not much  Smiley) and love the way you run the company. I have a quick question. I was looking at Litecoin and saw a fund LTC-DMF; is that you running this fund?

Thanks,
Bill

No worries, my sig is kind of cluttered. These days the fund largely runs itself.

Cheers.

Agreed...and I would add "It's about time!" to that.

I will of course prepare an official release when I have the rig in hand.

Cheers.

Hi djjacket. Officially I would answer that question by citing Avalon's website and extrapolating 4 module performance.

Quote
Hashrate: greater than 65 Gh/s

http://launch.avalon-asics.com/

65 / 3 = 21.67 * 4(modules) = 86.67 Gh/s.

Unofficially I'd be disappointed if I couldn't squeeze a bare minimum of 100Gh/s out of the beastie.

Cheers.

I'm following many securities months and I have to say that basicmining seems one of the most robust.
