Nice
Today 144 block were solved and 144 as expected which means +0%
About time we get a break from these difficulty increases.
Love to have news like this much better what I thought this week would be with day's like this. But very good day with that. Now only if price of BTC could rise from 430's seems like we are kinda stuck there. 430 is fine if we rip a -1 or +1 diff

With past few weeks i just don't see it going down that low I think likely we will see more. The work week is starting now. So we could see some miners going in for all we know. And I hope I'm wrong though. If it drops to that this week I will be extremely happy to say the least.

Hashrate 16 (last 16 blocks) is increasing again. It looks like we have a go for take-off.

yep near as I can tell while the net work at a diff of 103 says we have a hashrate of 743 the network really can do a hash rate of 1000-1050. Whether there are a few ghost cities in China or bitfury's big plant or hidden mega farms. All three prehaps? The reality is the network gets cranked up and back down at will. by around 180-220ph. Not sure what this is going to do in the long run but in the short run it gets me going just like this

In the context of Hash going on & off I found this interesting, and may acount for some of it? I've seen mines in China which are 100% hydro (they are attached to hydropower plants, if there is too little water they shut down). Instead of World vs. China it makes sense looking at individual facilities in my opinion.
By no means a complete picture and mostly based on my own observations (I have seen quite a few mines in China):
Some of the largest mines in China now run on hydro. The rate of hydro-powered mines is steadily increasing too, because ease of access to them and because lower electricity rates can be negotiated with owners or operators. I have seen an increasing number of "micro mines" during the past 6-12 months (1 megawatt range, some even smaller) at very remote locations - the power plants there aren't that big, but on the other hand very little electricity is used locally since there is almost no industry. The power used for mining is basically the "left-over" from these turbines, would otherwise not be used as they are too remote. In general I noticed a larger fragmentation of hash-power in China. There are physically big facilities (big halls), but I have yet to see a 100MW or even 40MW facility. 20MW and smaller on the other hand I have seen.

Yeah this could be part. and bitfury could have heat creep with its 40 mega watt immersion cooling setup . Would be interesting to clock rain in china along hydro powerplants. I was doing this with bitfury (not rain but temps) and they have had a warm winter until recently. Combining the two factors may very well account for the power on power off moves on the network. Really does make an extra tough forecast for the diff.

And here i was hoping to take a pick with 42 being the digits. Sound like 42% could be closer to be a winner than a 4.2% raise. I would of been plenty happy with a single digit diff raise, i hope this is just a luck spike and not a 150PH/s mine properly getting online.

well still have some low days https://bitcoincharts.comBlocks 391808 Total BTC 15.045M Difficulty 103880340815 Estimated 106535928464 in 1312 blks this is about +2.55% Network total 859554.331 Thash/s Blocks/hour 6.94 / 519 s but it is obvious that the network can do 1000ph rather then the 780ph or so it is doing now. I find it discouraging to say the least.

I wish bitwisdom would show that low: Bitcoin Difficulty: 103,880,340,815 Estimated Next Difficulty: 112,941,445,366 (+8.72%) Adjust time: After 1311 Blocks, About 8.8 days Hashrate(?): 808,405,177 GH/s It is estimating high..... but it seems we end up high the last few weeks.

+ 6.5% for me
well about the electricity, only one that is not heavily in the mining scene, would not know that the diff will not continue to grow forever at the same rate if the price remain there and efficiency is the same
miners want to have some margin on their profit, they will stop adding hashpower, in this case and wait for the next price increase, i guess they have already new equipments ready
