Time to step out of the shadows and embrace legitimacy
since when Bitcoin needs legitimacy from a corrupt and rotten system ? since the system has guns. How will guns stop me from transacting BTC? I have guns too. Want me to print you one? Theirs are bigger. They won't stop you from transacting BTC but they will stop you from using fiat money without compliance to their ruleset. That includes trading BTC for it. OTC transactions are really easy. +1 (better than cripple :-) ) in the long run ripple gateways will go the way of LR. local is the way to go. As Jörg Platzer likes to say: "A global currency with local reach."

Only because the police isn't after them.

Only because the police isn't after them. Police is after drugs and I can guarantee you that it's quite easy to get whatever high you crave OTC. As molecular said: global currency dealt locally, and the sky is the limit. So... Could we say that Bitcoin is going "glocal"?

Really interesting, thanks for the post. No puts for me, more real money in BTC

BTC = Black Swan. BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.

Noooooo don't you remember BrightAnarchist found a surprisingly large correlation between stock markets and Bitcoin price? The fact that the period in question spanned a 4-year bull market in the first and the initial adoption phase in the second has nothing to do with the correlation.

Correlation is, but not surprised, as I think many traders do hedging with bitcoin. So if they start loose money on stocks, they start to take profit in bitcoin. This is normal.

What about those of us who are short stocks and will take our profit into Bitcoin?

from pm What are your charts telling you from here ? We got either break down of this mid size triangle, or price drew wave "d" of this triangle. Watching. So depending on that, price either walk ~100 -> ~120 way one more time OR start long impulse to ~$15 ... $35 right now.

And I thought I was bearish... Lucif is one of the very few real bears in here... The rest of members cheering crashes in the "Wall Observer" thread are just bulls disguised as bears, craving cheaper coins so we can increase our stash, while riding the waves of our perma-bull delusions LOL
