I'm tempted to go off on this topic but I will say this. I knew that there wasn't going to be a huge crash of the world economies all at once this year. When one starts to fall almost always another starts to rise as a result. This year we saw that with the USD gaining ground against everything including recently even gold. The USD at least will be doing fine for years to come despite all these blowhards with their "doooooooom!" mantra.

Btc will continue to gain strength but not at the cost of the USD to be certain.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

With less than a month before 2016 is over, it's pretty obvious this big crash won't happen, it's just too improbable to even fathom such event would happen considering the world economy is relatively stable in terms of fundamentals right now. It's more believable though to consider the price of bitcoin would hit the $1000 level by the end of this year, looking on the trading trends and recent developments.

Realistically speaking, we will not hit the $1000 level this year. If we want to experience a sustainable growth, and we're definitely on the right track to achieve this, then we must be preparing ourself for $1000 prices somewhere in mid 2017 to end 2017. This year comes way too soon. If we indeed happen to reach $1000 this year, then we'll be heading towards the south within a week. We all know that peaks don't last. I much rather prefer to wait a year where we have the price stay above $1000 for a decent amount of time, than reaching $1000 right now where after that we'll be facing heavy dumps which will be very time consuming to recover from.

I don't believe that big cash are coming for bitcoin as i can see bitcoin has very big potential when it comes on market and it really goods when the price is really increasing the price will not be going into bottom again that will price into 200$ or maybe less i don't believe this will happen.
Well, we cant say the fall will never happen again. If we observe, this year i saw a big drop. From $800 a piece to $525+. Thats a big drop. Anyway, im used to this since the day the bitcoin started it was $100 a piece. For me its a normal. Its very hard to predict what will happen to bitcoin in the future.
Fall is part of bitcoin but this kind of prediction and observation we can't really say so big drop will not come in this way. Bitcoin is getting too stronger than the past year's, Countries are adopting bitcoin now for new currencies like india. Prediction is always a myth that can't be true sometimes.

There are no sign of big crash will happening in this year either in next year. As i can see in the market bitcoin price is not that stable it decreasing and it's increasing that fast and back to normal price. Ofcourse bitcoin will hit the $1000 next year be ready and save & hold bitcoin as you can let's make a good profit  next year.

That all depends on what you are into here

If you are a short-term speculator (a day trader of sorts), then you would be just happy to see such huge price swings since they would let you earn much more profits than a gradual growth. Though I agree that such price fluctuations can be damaging to Bitcoin in the long term simply because they will avert a lot of merchants and vendors as well as long-term investors

I also think that we won't achieve the cap of 1000$ until the end of the next year , it can only be possible if we are able to fix the block size limit, if we are able to so then we will be able to increase the bitcoin size rapidly.

Anyway there is not such a way to predict  matket activity  and if you have the ability to fo so then you probably have an inside knowledge or you know an event that is going to happen.

Great amount we are talking here, it's easy to reach that amount if we are talking of a year to reach that, this year it's 100% increase so probably it will be the same in the next year to come or a lot more than that.

I will agree that we will not see the price of 1000$ except something very shocking happened in world economy which could be force the markets to ask way-out to gold and bitcoins.

nothing impossible especially if we are talking about bitcoin ,
which usually have a lot of unexpected things ,
you know if then gold or any other stock market dropped before the end of 2016 ,
the first choice as an optional investment will be bitcoin!

I am also optimistic about a Bitcoin. And I believe that it will reach $ 1,000 by February - March 2017. Now its price is growing steadily. And there is every chance that it will be a very valuable

Bitcoin price rises constantly. If everything continues as last months then $1000 will be reached in Q1 or beginning of Q2 2017.

I do not see an upcoming event this year which could push the price over the "magical" mark again.

We have seen bitcoin's price go up to 700$ this year and it is no surprise that by the end of it we might see it go over the 800$ mark, but  i don't think we ill witness a change in the market like people start using it and governments making it as an official currency , but next year we might see some big changes since the bitcoin might rise over to the 1000$ market.

$1,000 are actually easy to be achieved , as few days ago the price almost reached $800 ,
it is hows how easy bitcoin price fight to go up $50 within a week ,
two weeks left before the year 2016 ended ,
it might go up for another $50 to $60 and then go up to $,1000 in first month of 2017, i can not see the sign of big crash here.

In my local currency Bitcoin is valued at $1,059 Shocked Grin IMO that is a great way to read Bitcoin for newcomers as 0.1 BTC to them can easily be explained as meaning just over $100 AUD, 0.01 BTC as $10, 0.001 BTC as 1$ hahaha but really I think this is just the Christmas Boom that happens every year though this time a lot more people are not selling coins or buying with Bitcoins because of the recent increase after halving.

I remember not too long after the the first halving that the same thing happened but it dwindled back down slowly to the $250-$300 AUD mark (Originally From $1200 - $700) in 2014-2015 for a while, maybe the same thing will happen yet again in 2017 but with a bigger base price of $350-$400 AUD after it has settled down.

The pace of adoptance of users with Bitcoin is pretty much at the same pace as it was back then, still it hasn't reach minor mainstream, the amount of everyday people I ask if they have ever heard about Bitcoin say either "Yeah" with a criminal frown upon it but not knowing what it does (Very rarely someone knows what Bitcoin is) or blatantly stare at me thinking what is this guy on about.

With so many scams going on and people getting caught out running things illegally with Bitcoin I would assume that some bad news will be released to the Mainstream Public Worldwide regarding the Demoralization of Bitcoin & CryptoCurrencies in general with the people who use them and what really happens.

To be in the game you have to know how to play the game, it takes time to learn the game but you become more intuitive when the time comes to deciding about the game and what the game does for you Wink

I believe that instead a big crash that will come, the price of bitcoin is going to reach its higher price for next year and hopefully that the price is going to reach up to $1,000. But still I know that a lot of things will happen for next year that can cause the economy of bitcoin to be moved and most of the time that changes I'm thinking it is all about price increase.

I could no find anywhere neither as rumor about a small crash. I don't know if OP lives in a country where btc is banned and may be there would be an issue with buy/sell this. Moreover because I live in Europe what to say about the civil war in western Europe? Maybe some links from OP would be a good start.

Even if OP's country was banned bitcoin then it wouldn't definitely affect the buy/sell activities. the price rate would follow the international exchanger's current rate. maybe some people would have a hard time trying to sell their bitcoins or makiny a buy/sell activities because probably the site they were supposed to do that activities was banned by the government but nothing might changed

As long as your internet is not block and you can transact online, there are a lot ways to convert your bitcoin into fiat, nothing is impossible with bitcoin although in some countries a business operation related to bitcoin is not supported but we are a big community and we are making bitcoin more successful with our support.

Well I guess your guess of the economic crisis in 2016 was wrong with only 15 more days for 2016 end. About the 10,000$ per bitcoin we did not achieve that but we did get a really nice price of ~775$ per bitcoin.

There will be not any big impact on bitcoin price with all those your predicted financial crisis, in financial crisis people have to worry about several things to sort our their life so don't think they will roam around bitcoin. They need fiat to buy bitcoin and in crisis there will be shortage of fiat in pockets and banks.

Yes it won't impact on bitcoin till now because even though price is down, bitcoin has large user base where many people are being attracted to this new technology. I hope there will be financial crisis will arise though it won't impact much on bitcoin because bitcoin is not restricted to one specific country. If people have big money means it is right time to convert their fiat currency in to bitcoin.
