Well, just in case that situation occur, I believe that everyone has no choice, even if you don't want to do it when something good in return will happen then you must do it for survival. Imagine this, you were captured by your enemy and your enemy offer you a piece of human meat, if you eat it then you will have a truce, and they'll set you free, would you refuse such offer?

In times of danger and uncertainties, we should be very practical, always choose to survive, and not to be a hero(all of them die anyway).

Leave apart world domination or super-powers. The most important thing for all of us is our own survival. Most of the people would do anything just to survive. If you are in the brink of death, then the taboos doesn't matter. You will be ready to do anything (including consuming meat from a dead human body) in order to survive.
