How many bought BTC when it had its (so far) all time high? Not enough obviously because the price came down again. Now everybody seems to wait for the halving expecting that the price of BTC  is going to skyrocket around this date.
So many are waiting to sell their BTC but who is going to buy? So instead of going up the price might come crashing down as I assume many will panic if the price won't go up and sell their BTC to limit their losses. Of course that is just speculation but with almost everyone planning to sell when the price is high (enough) and many more inclined to buy in when the price is low (enough) and almost no one to buy when the price is high, I don't see how the halving will help to increase the price.

How are alts safe? The safest one I know are PoS alts, I suggest to take a look at DMD Diamond, been using it for almost 18 months, it has brought me nothing but profit. Also, its reward is about the get halved, so the price will probably keep going up due to reduced supply.

The chances are very high that after the halving the price will crash because the price would have already been counted in the run up to it.
It may already have.
If I was on the whales halving hype bus playing my hand then I know what I'll be doing.

I have no intentions of getting rich from bitcoin and no plan to be. I do have plans to get rich outside of this and use this as a nice savings account though. Any one with plans and dreams to become rich from BTC are setting themselves up for an upset.

i can only suggest that you be extra careful when entering Altcoin market. that market is much wilder that bitcoin market. you can experience much worse losses and at the same time bigger profits in altcoin market.

and about DMD that people are suggesting i have to say that it is one of the solid Alts out there, just compare its price history

Hey guys,

I just spoke to a guy over chat who told me his plan was to get 100 BTC, wait for the price to reach $5k per BTC and retire after that. Since he lives in a third world county, that might be possible for him. I know this is a simplification of the problem but I d like to know what s your plan. How many BTC is your goal, at what price and what happens once you reach that goal. After all, we have all been involved in a dream, why not dream it a bit more. 

My plan is to horde as much bitcoin as I can while maintaining my current job. It does mot matter where the coins come from, trading, faucet or sig campaign. I'll horde and when the price is right, I'll retire from my job and enjoy the benefits of bitcoin. Hopefully this happens when I am still strong, young and healthy enough to enjoy it.

I think that's depending on many factors, because holding bitcoins nowadays could be really profitable in the long run and that's can really help the Bitcoin's users to become richs soon if they sell their coins for the best higher price

Oh right that is something to look forward to then, 1k per bitcoin I will hold until then like many others, always good to follow others.
You are not mean to see reason in how anything is going to play out to be fair.

Yes very much seriously. Just holding bit can for long-term itself is more than enough for becoming rich with bitcoins. I too believe on one satoshi may worth $1 speculations.
