It was a great run, and thanks for all of the hard work. I know it was some serious time, and I appreciate it. I'll leave my sticks where they are for a while and PM you.
Thanks again

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function. Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

Thanks Sloopy. ____________________ _____________________ and it is done Time is up. https://blockchain.info/blocks397981 (Main Chain) 2016-02-12 00:01:12 My goal for the next 90 days is to get some gear going on the solar array. If I can I hope to come back with the join the ½ ing misery club promo something. It would run 6 days before and 12 days after the ½ ing. I will work out some ideas on it later.

and it is done Not all good things can last forever. Thanks for all your work putting this together, Phil, and all the other folk like cryptoglance and the spreadsheet fellow (sorry, forgot who was doing that page) for keeping track of everything, it was really fun. I would like to see permanent solo groups set up like this. With difficulty where it is the only way to solo mine effectively is to pool resources. Cheers!

Thanks Sloopy. ____________________ _____________________ and it is done Time is up. Unlucky my man, great effort! I admire all your time, hard work and the expense you have incurred during this process. I think the recent unexpected huge diff increases have absolutely killed home mining especially for the small player. Big pat on the back for you though my friend and the others that were involved, thanks for trying your best .

I agree with others thanks phil for running it. Wish we would have hit it... but was still fun.
Best of luck with your solar, hope it's a home run for you.

I'll be leaving mine pointed to the club for a while, until whenever the next time I need to restart my computer is
Well that didn't last long, lol. I came home and started using the computer when this happened, no joke: If it was anything but antivirus I'd ignore it, but I like not having viruses. Thanks again, Phil, good luck with the solar project, I look forward to the next whatever-you-put-together, haha. Edit- So I pointed my S3+ to the club for you, I'll leave it running a few days. We're having a bit of a heat wave here right no so I had shut it off from solo mining, had a 44G share last weekend. {"hashrate1m": "557G", "hashrate5m": "426G", "hashrate1hr": "78.2G", "hashrate1d": "29G", "hashrate7d": "26.9G", "lastupdate": 1455255699, "shares": 17049854, "bestshare": 2936702.6111035105, "bestever": 179524550} http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/1JiWuyX94wrCr7JhkAn7x5qNMCEef1KhqX.Jan11mikestangstick

Thanks for your continued efforts and support. I agree it made it that much more fun being part of the group, albeit the flashy light thingies. " When your Cool the sun shines on you 24 hrs a day", may this be true. I await the next projects that may pop up. To that I say adieu!

So I pointed my S3+ to the club for you, I'll leave it running a few days.
Heat wave still pushing temps here to ~90*F, it's just too hot in my office to keep the S3+ going and I've shut it off. Thanks again, look forward to the next promo, hopefully we'll have gekko pods for that one!

Thanks for everything Phil!
Anybody have a suggestion of where to go next? I've got 3 sticks and no good place to point them yet.

I'd say leave them here until you feel like changing them to (your own) solo.ck pool. I guess you could always sell them if true lottery mining is not your thing.

Anybody else doing anything interesting? I'm pointed at solo.ckpool now with my own address but if we couldn't hit a block with our TH power, i doubt my 30Gh wil....

I tried pointing them at nicehash first; now I'm mining at kano's. I'm thinking about using my sticks to solo mine Peercoin (an altcoin) as the difficulty is more reasonable (around 500M IIRC). Hitting a block on that blockchain would still be pretty hard for me but at least might happen on my lifetime; then I could sell those alts for bitcoin I hope.

peercoin seems to be a good coin..
you get 66? coins per block and they are worth about .43c per right now.. so thats about 30$ if you get a block.. the network difficulty is just over 500 million.. and ive seen some 500M+ shares from my miners.. maybe i should switch all my miners to peercoins lol..
edit, seems bfgminer doesnt work with ppc?
i put them on give-me-coins but the pool shows up as unknown and while the lights are blinking the pool itself doesnt see my worker as active.

I'm trying on this solo pool: http://mining.securepayment.cc/pools/ppcoin/It says it supports bfgminer and cgminer. Although I'm using cgminer-gekko myself. At least the pool accepts the shares from my sticks (when they are high enough) but my best is only 230K. Since this is just an experiment for now, I'll be using a web wallet to hold the (hypothetical) peercoin.
