I get a virus alert and my anti-virus automatically deletes the wallet exe file of Buzzcoin. have anyone experienced the same thing?

Can you confirm that this file was downloaded from the official Buzzcoin website? The reason I ask is that it used to flag up with more warnings that just the one. Some of them listed it as 'PUP' - Potentially Unwanted Program. Others were unclear about what the problem might be, so they'd flag it anyway. It's a false positive - I myself have been running this wallet for months now and not a single problem. It is safe to make an exception for it in your AV software - AS LONG AS IT'S THE OFFICIAL VERSION!!!

wow! i just checked my buzzcoinqt file that I downloaded months ago, and it gave the same result! Devs you have to explain this if you expect people to trust you.

I am pretty sure thats a false positive - I have been using the wallet for a long time and did not have any security issues with it. The so called "IRC" thing that the antivirus scanner detects is probably just the legit "IRC seeder" component which is harmless!

Maybe the dev can give us more insight here.

Yes, these are false positives. if you look through the entries, AVG and Avast list it as 'PUP' - Potentially Unwanted Program. The IRC references are just from connecting to the network. Kapersky and ZoneAlert list it as 'not-a-virus' and K7 list it as 'Riskware' as opposed to anything specific. There are other coins that will generate similar results.

People have been running this wallet with no security issues for months, but regardless. it will hopefully be addressed in the new wallet!

Thanks for the advice. It was really faster with the bootstrap. It's finally synch and the buzzcoin are safe.
