Thank you for looking into it.

1- If the pool is labeled as 5n then the block needs to be paid 5n.  It is a simple calculation that can be done by hand since the number of miners is small and all of the blocks shares are counted.

2- If it is left the way it is then many people will not get paid as described in the OP.  Sure I would like to get the 1/3 of a Bitcoin but I certainly do not want it to be paid from your pocket.

3- Voting on it is a great option but a predictable one.  Those that are negatively affected will vote one way while those positively affected will vote the opposite. I suggest you look at the info and make a decision, people are going to be unhappy either way.

leave it the way it is.

then figure a better method of payout.

This will be my last post on the subject because I do not want to beat a dead horse.  Leaving it the way it is gets me a payout of 0.00 BTC while calculating the payout as described in the OP gets me a payout of 0.338 BTC.  Many people are affected by the decision.

Thanks for the reply kilo, I appreciate your response.  As the pool operator, it is my duty to ensure people are paid according to how the pool was advertised.  If I'm not doing so, then it is also my responsibility to make things right.

That's why I'm offering to make the corrections from my own pocket and will happily send you the .338BTC you should have received.

I would like to see anyone that has missed out on payments reimbursed. Its only fair that we get paid for the shares that are submitted - that goes for all 3 rounds.

I would go with philipma1957's comment to leave as is then square up .

To keep things open...

kilo17 - total shares submitted to the pool is: 3593906827.6008587.  Total shares for the 3 blocks found: 265158127564.  Last block found was: 25.19462806BTC.  Your total payout should have been: 0.34148358BTC.

If that is acceptable, then give me a BTC address and I'll send it to you.

Actually, that's not entirely accurate.  Kilo was definitely underpaid - I showed the numbers.  Rozo was actually overpaid as were you and I.  I'll gladly post the numbers if you wish.

I'm actually working on a spreadsheet that will contain all of the numbers and will publish it when completed.  I've just started and have gone through my own account... sure, I may have been overpaid this block (by about 0.6BTC) however, I was underpaid on the second block by about 5.54BTC.  Somebody made out pretty well Tongue.  The answer will be made available when I'm done.  Might be a day or so - I've got to travel to the client site tomorrow and the little lady's pretty sick of me spending Valentine's Day buried in the office doing that damn Bitcoin thing again.

This is a re- write

Jonny sent a pm detailing that I was overpaid and that he made some errors splitting up the coins.

I checked his math and it is correct that I was over paid about .28 btc in total for blocks 2 + 3.  I did not mine in block 1.

I have really good trust on site.  I have never cheated anyone for coins here or on ebay or anywhere.

Jonny has always been good to me and to people on this site.  So I am giving back my over payments for block 2 + 3

I will continue to toss coin here on and off.

This post is poorly written. So I crossed it out.

I sent a PM to you I agree I owe you. And since I always have been correct to everyone on bitcointalk and in the world of BTC I am paying back your overpayments to me.

  21,683,709,476  Round   1  --------------- I was 0 shares I was paid 0

113,383,403,265  Rounds 1 + 2 -----------  I was  2,126,366,885 shares  = 0.01875 x 25 = .4688  I  was paid 0.6721

265,158,127,564 Rounds 1+2 +3 ---------- I was  1,658,915,689 shares

So 2126366885 + 1658915689 = 3,785,282,573/265,158,127,564  = 0.01427 x 25 =  0.3568   I was paid  0.4325

so 1.1046  - 0.8256 = 0.279  appears to be what I was over paid.

now I have a perfect record on this site of never fucking anyone any coins.

So when you can post an address  that I will pay you the 0.279 btc

Actually, I don't qualify for my own promotion... So that means the bonus is still available to the next block finder Smiley.  I will keep the promo running.  Same rules as before: 1BTC to the block finder until the pool crosses 110% of expected shares, at which point it goes to 0.9BTC until it crosses 120%, then it becomes 0.8BTC and so on.

Awesome Smiley

I see the problem for the 5n.  that kilo17 mentions

aside from that

I do not understand  the reason people are capped at

2,147,483,647

1   rozo                   2,147,483,647   225,421,727   10.50  rozo did way over 2,146,483,647
2   bctmke           2,147,483,647   24,579,291   1.14
3   eghigo           2,147,483,647   14,950,281   0.70
4   jonnybravo   2,147,483,647   60,869,950   2.83
5   YuenglingDude   2,147,483,647   8,439,623           0.39
6   Underachieved   2,018,459,378   3,483,544           0.17
7   kilo17           1,787,617,883   2,328,366           0.13
8   philipma1957   1,658,915,689   2,069,906      0.12
9   Valkir           1,553,104,548   666,031           0.04
10   njmnokc           1,456,346,814   1,125,239     0.08

Me too did way over that number. I had almost 10 billion shares. That is why I commented before about the payout. Even though someone puts 2PH in the pool, you don't lose 0.7BTC in few hours. I understand that the payout may decrease but definitely not that much ...

Jonny, if possible, can you please check my payout too. Thanks.

I'm curious as to how this all works out - and if needed I'll gladly toss it back at Jonny as Phil has mentioned he would too.

As to which way to go with payments, I'm just of the opinion that everyone gets paid appropriately.  If we're seeing over/under payments that is not correct obviously - but I'll go with how Jonny figures to be the best way going forward.

Jonny will fix it.

In the meantime I am tossing some hash at this block.

So for this block will we go off 5n?

Off   5n with just current block

 I am :

my shares/pool shares
322,559,528/11,907,489,374  = 0.027088 x 25 = 0.67721 btc  and when my rental stops this will drop.

on 5n it is late and I am lazy, but I would be less.

so I am crashing I will do math for me later.

I am fine with 1n or 5n or another fair  method
