I run my Avalons on the EVGA 1300 G2. Absolutely rock solid PSUs and I can't recommend them highly enough.
Edit:
Example of how good the PSU is... Before they ran my Avalons, each G2 was running 3 S3s nonstop since 2014. 20 months of constant usage powering miners, 24/7.
Actually The test that shows more how good a PSU is, is if you stop/start it regularly. Stop/Starts are the main time when things fail due to the power changes in those events. I have 2 OCZ 1250W I bought in 2013, still going strong - though one is now somewhat wasted running one of my home servers 24/7 ... They had regular power cycles when in mining use. The other one up until recently when I permanently switched off my half working AntS5 My Avalon6s are run on 2 Seasonic 1200 Platinums and they get power cycled 5 days a week (and the PSUs were cycled the same before with other hardware) They're newer than the OCZs (2014) but no problems ever with them (but they cost way too much ...) A good example of the power cycle test is my old AntS2 and the Bitmain supplied "Enermax" PSU in it that was borderline since it exceeded the specs on the PSU ... died of course - most likely due to the regular power cycling

Great points, kano. You actually power cycled an S2? Were you actively trying to set it on fire? I remember pretty much the first thing one did with an S2 was to replace the PSU... before you ever even bothered turning it on .

Heh yeah that's them ... I paid more than twice that for mine The only complaint I have about them is all the power cables are ribbon cables and 18G My OCZs are all full 16G - just a pity about OCZ

All,
I will be taking down the pool servers at approximately 10:00am EST on 2/19 to perform some maintenance, including updating to Bitcoin Core version 0.12. I don't expect this to take longer than a couple of minutes; however, your miners will fail over. Please ensure you have backup pools properly configured.
I will post here as soon as the maintenance is complete.
Thanks!
EDIT: Pool coming down now at 10:19 EST.
EDIT: Pool back up at 10:30 EST.

No problem. I like 0.12 and was glad the final was released so I could safely put it up on the pool.
For example, if the pool found a block right now it would contain 2650 transactions and fees of 0.48BTC. If I wanted that information previously, I'd have to look in multiple places.

Yeah, the signed binaries aren't available yet (should be within the next couple of days I'd guess)... however, the final v0.12 code is released and you can build it yourself - which is what I do.

I would if I was running a pool. Since I'm running a node literally only for the sake of the network (that node doesn't even have a wallet) so I'm in no hurry

Yeah... no rush for you . By the way, I made changes to the pool stats page. KH/s was a bit stupid - who even thinks about mining BTC in terms of KH/s any more? So, I changed the pool stats page to display TH/s.

Is it sad that I never even noticed? LOL... I also changed the Worker Information on your dashboard page. Now it displays your workers in GH/s (instead of the KH/s it was defaulted to).

Does it make sense to combine workers and hash with Bcmonster? Also posted in their pool too. Both pools are with a great group.

I don't want to speak for jonny - but really in the end its better for the network to have the extra bit of decentralization and both operators have different ways they may want to do things. Combining likely wouldn't work. Interesting thought though.

I know its kind of like asking two people running for president if one of them would be their vice president instead. Both may have the same pool however different goals.

Unfortunately combining our pools would be exceedingly difficult to properly pull off.
When I started this pool, I did so to give miners a choice where to point their hash where they wouldn't get screwed by a jackass like nexious. It also gives miners a choice to not point their hash to bad-for-bitcoin pools who SPV mine, spit out empty blocks, etc. I'd love to get a few percent of those pools pointed here. I'd also love to see a few percent pointed to BCMonster (as I'm sure he'd love to see, too).
If you've checked out his thread, you'll see I share my pool changes with him as well. You can also see that I've contributed to the git repository to address the capped share stats error pointed out earlier in this thread. I will be sharing that with BCMonster as soon as I finish writing this post.
So, if you want to see this pool grow, please feel free to spread the word. Post on your social media accounts, websites, blogs, forums. Talk to your friends and family. Let them all know your experiences here and invite them to join us in this grand adventure in bitcoin.

Don't forget the promo is still running... we just crossed the 50% mark (now about 50.8%) of expected shares to find the block. Find a block before we hit 110% and get 1BTC bonus from me.
