To all my miners in the EU...

I am happy to announce that you now have a local stratum server: eu.stratum.bravo-mining.com

As with the pool's US stratum server, you can point your miners to ports 3333 for typical mining hardware, or 3334 for large hash rentals.

The stratum server itself is hosted in France.

Also, for those of you not in the EU, but who rent from NH (their Amsterdam proxy, not the WH one in San Jose), you might also be better served pointing those rentals to the EU stratum server.

So, to recap...

The pool now has 2 stratum servers:

stratum.bravo-mining.com (hosted in Dallas, TX)
eu.stratum.bravo-mining.com (hosted in France)

The incentive to rent big is not much when people are so close to each other.

I rented 1ph but for only 0.01 coins Since the spreads are too close

so that rental moved us from 69.06 to 69.15.

So with every right next to each other  the incentive to rent a ph for  2 hours means I would be helping others since the gaps are too tight.

most people are just too close to make renting big fun.

Completely agree. If the gap is to small it does not make sense to make a big rental with the chance of the price going to someone very near you. So the 2% suggestion is very reasonable ...

I agree.  I just finished my 2P rental that got us from 70 to 70.58 in about 30 minutes.  I would have let it go longer if there was more of a gap.  I'll be choosing my next guess based on largest gap after my 10%, just like I picked this one.

abmonstein  is allowed to make a change sees the big rental  and picks  70.69  knowing he will steal much of justchillz chances of winning the two coins.

justchillz sees it and cancels the rental when we reach 70.69  so the game gets buzz killed or debbie downered .

So I put in 888 for an hour and change.


we moved quick to 70.67 from the 70.65 and  the closest to 70.67 is still dennish   but anyone with a free move can simply move to 71.16  and cut off dennish


 with a minimum 2 percent gap  all cut throat goes away


lets say I like dennish  but I hate  seriouscoin     so lets say seriouscoin   grabs the 71.16 cutting off dennish  ..  I say fuck serious coin and cut my rental

I don't need all the drama.

I say fuck renting at all if people are going to play that way.


Now I am renting and will let this rental play out  but then just go back to placeholder 120 gh  in compac sticks  as the tight picking is killing off the game.

I get that if you can not drop .1 btc to rent   you may not like the game   but if you are  at 74 in  the following    spot =       72 74 76

you have a good chance to win without the rental as with the rental WTF am I saying? The truth .   

  Just do your spot holding mining  and from

73 to 75   percent you win.   whether the pool  does 100th or 5ph in that percent slot  you are the winner as long as you are mining with at least a stick 


So crowded each other is simply pointless.
