I'm looking forward to the beginning of the Star Wars Promotion...

I've moved more hashing power over -- and I've put in a 45T rental for through tomorrow...

And am planning on doing some full throttle moves throughout the day!!!

My father-in-law (deceased before I was part of the family) was part of the team that created the scrolling header leading into the movie!  We have a box of drawings and sketches of what it was "supposed" to look like -- and surprisingly close to what it did look like!  We've been offered a lot of money for them -- but, since it is part of the "family" stuff -- have kept it.  He was a well known graphic artist (at the time) working here in Atlanta -- and was also credited with creating the graphic for the Coca Cola can and other cool stuff!!!

BEST OF LUCK to EVERYONE tomorrow!!!

It is such a COOL CONTEST!!!

 Cool Cool Cool

That's a totally awesome story!! I would love to see pictures of those!!

I am heating my house with 4 miners integrated into my heating and air system. https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBitcoinMiner

We're looking for a JPEG that we KNOW we have of 1 of them...

The problem is that they are all way too big to scan -- back then film was 1:1...

Our neighbor actually took ALL of them and brought them down to Kinko's and made copies of them -- he is a major fan...

Hopefully we'll find the JPEG that we KNOW we have -- and I can figure out a way to post it here in HONOR of the PROMOTION!!!

We're looking -- it isn't under "Starwars" or "Dad" -- we already checked those filename possibilities -- lol...

Unrelated to the promotion...

But I'm getting a weird VarDiff cycle from my "cluster" (worker 3)...

I thought I had solved the problem -- as it worked PERFECTLY to begin with...

The REJECTED SHARES is resolved -- but it is cycling every 8 or 9 minutes and affecting my hash rate dramatically...

Any ideas?

Oh -- I'm using the 3333 port since the group of miners is only 20T...

Should I bump it to the 3334?

Or -- is that too low of hash for that port?

how many in the group?

if 8 or more  it could be the issue.

When I had 14 sp20's.

I could not do 9 to mmpool.org under 1 mining name.

I think I could not do more then 6 to kano.is under  1 mining name.

This was with sp20's not s-7's or  avalon6's

I ended up using 3 accounts at mmpool.org  with 4 or five miners to each one.

So you could make up 5 workers and use 3 miners per worker.

I've realized that the VarDiff is actually chasing the hash rate provided...

NOT the pools problem -- to the best of my knowledge...

(Although I have questioned the VarDiff in the past on this thread)...

I had MAJOR  rejected shares earlier -- and THOUGHT that I had solved that problem -- so now I have THIS problem...

I'll give up -- and either, at some point, try and desegregate -- or, just give up...

Right now, I don't have a whole lot of extra time on my hands...

That may change in a week or two...

BEST OF LUCK to EVERYONE on the SUPER COOL PROMO going on right now!!!

And -- I shouldn't quote you -- as your "may the fourth be with you" is STILL echoing throughout the thread!!!

I must say I have never had a pool operator contact me that I have a residual balance.  I am impressed with the attention to detail and honesty.  I will be back mining on this pool as soon as I replace my farm, I liquidated to get new equipment.

Thanks Jonny

Jonny, anyway to tell from the data on the pool site where we are on 5N? Kinda looking for the shift or shift graph page that Kano has. Easy to see where your 5N is. Since the hash rate has a high variance, hard to figure out if my first shares are still in 5N or dropped off. Don't need you to do any enhancements, just provide some guidance on what existing data can be used to get a rough idea of individual 5N standings.

Thanks,

Block 410081 has matured and your funds are now available for withdrawal.  If you have auto-payouts set, your payments have already been sent and confirmed.  Onto block 11!

May the fourth be with all of you Smiley

I'm confused as to what your problem is.  As Phil has suggested, and as I emailed you, do not put all of your miners into a single worker.  Use multiple workers, or, use a proxy on your end and send a single stream to the pool.  I also said I would gladly create and open up a fixed diff port for you if you provided me the hash rate so I could calculate a good diff for it.

I'm also confused by what you mean regarding vardiff chasing the hash, and what your questions about vardiff are.

You can also try to use port 3334.  The diff starts at 65535.  Since I have pushed well over 10PH rentals through that port with multiple connected bridges, there should be no problems at all.

Thanks,
You can kind of fake it.  Take a look at the current round.  You can see we're currently 16.75% done.  That means we've got about 29925425677 shares this round.  Subtract that from 5 times the current diff and you get 863370863186.

Knowing that, you can kind of work your way backwards.  Look at the "Statistics->Pool" section at the blocks found.  Start subtracting the actual shares and you'll eventually get to 0 or below.  The 5N window would therefore be somewhere after that previous block.

Remember, that's just an estimate.  Hopefully I'll get some time to write some code to give a better answer Smiley

Actually, it's sometime between 1/11 and 2/14.

Here's the math broken down:

(178,659,257,773 * 5) - (178,659,257,773 * .2252) = 853062224014.5204

853062224014.5204 represents how many shares from the previous blocks are included in the 5N.  Start subtracting...

853062224014.5204 - 28,386,020,800 = 824676203214.5204
824676203214.5204 - 198,717,154,987 = 625959048227.5204
625959048227.5204 - 199,254,758,327 = 426704289900.5204
426704289900.5204 - 10,544,894,813 = 416159395087.5204
416159395087.5204 - 22,355,511,995 = 393803883092.5204
393803883092.5204 - 139,379,877,102 = 254424005990.5204
254424005990.5204 - 217,761,509,429 = 36662496561.5204
36662496561.5204 - 151,774,724,299 = -115112227737.4796

Ahhh... so sometime between block 392809 and 398354.  Right around 75.8% of the way through that round.  The round took about 34 days, so right around Feb 6.

In regards to share/5N/payout is there a difference how I spread the rental assault?
As an example:
X-Wing Starfighter sneaking behind Endor for days (with ~5TH fire power)
vs
Star Destroyer one pass over Tatooine for hour (with ~2PH fire power)
both having same total?

only that hitting heavy during the death star's weakest time spots may pay more bonus money.

May 4th of course would be  a very weak time for the death star.
