I have doubled my miners apparently with help of the heat wave in UK.
3x S5 working as fans to help circulating air, and I'm enjoying the breeze (and hash) Wink
Doesn't that just make it even hotter?  I have to turn my miners off during the day when it's hot.  Been lucky so far this spring and had a lot of cool weather.

S5 fans are spinning more than needed, just almost ambient breeze.
Servers fans though not throwing out enough air - whole room gets stiff.

So, unfortunately nobody hit the block before the diff change - though certainly not for lack of trying Tongue.

However, I liked the idea of the promo so much that I'm going to run it again.

Everyone who solves a block this diff period gets their name put into a hat.  At the next diff change, I am going to draw one of those names and that person will get 1BTC.

This promotion will be in addition any others that I come up with during this timeframe.

In other news, I've got a bunch more mining hardware being delivered to my hosting provider.  By a bunch, I mean 12 more A6.  This will bring my personal hardware total to 20 A6, 2 S3 and 1 S5 hashing for a combined ~75TH.  Hopefully they'll be there and setup on Friday.

That will probably be my final hardware purchase until the next-gen gear arrives, but as usual, I will be supplementing my own hardware with rentals from time to time.  I probably won't go as nuts as I did this round, though Grin.

Wow, nice new toys!  I'm scared to do anything new until after the halving.  I was going to host the machines I have and get some more, but I've decided to hold off and see what happens after July.  I'm hoping a bit of the bottom drops out and makes mega-mines no longer efficient to run and we see the difficulty come back down to levels that garage miners can hope to solve.

I wasn't going to either, but I got a pretty good price on the gear, and figured I might as well get as much hash going as I can now while we're still getting 25 coins per block.  Of course, would be nice for us to hit a block or 10 today Tongue.

As for the diff dropping back down to garage miner levels... I don't know if that's likely to happen.  The mega-mines are the ones paying absurdly low power costs, not the average hobbyist.

No, I meant "I sure hope we hit 10 blocks today!" Grin A guy can dream, right?

Congrats on the new equipment!!!   Smiley

Thanks!  Should be a nice boost to the pool's base hash rate, and hopefully those new miners solve a couple blocks for us all!

Weekend promo... everyone who finds a block this weekend gets 1BTC.  Hitting a block also gets your name added to the list for the diff change promo, where you could win another 1BTC.

Good luck!

WTF, F2 party today? Ant people move to F2 all of a sudden?

I rented 500 on each site for 4 hours.

How come the GFW never goes down and cuts off china from the internet? That would be nice.....

LOL... not sure we'd really want that to happen.  Chinese pools represent the vast majority of the network hash.  If the GFW was to go down, they'd be working on one chain while the rest of the world worked on another.  As soon as the GFW came back up, chances are exceedingly good they'd have the longer chain, thus rendering the rest of the world's chain worthless.

Now, if all of those pools, and the hash associated with them, suddenly went dark that'd be a completely different story.

Good luck everyone!  Let's nail a couple blocks Smiley

Then we would have ChinaBTC and ClassicBTC. haha

If the NSA could infect the Iranian nuke program computers, why not Chinese miners......Only the ones behind china IP's otherwise we would all be down.LOL
