Not the same thing... But, I got to spend a week on my brothers Navy ship back in 2009... I made a blog about it at: ***** just in case any of you are really bored... 2 years later, I started my bitcoin hobby!!! Good luck to everyone with the ongoing promotion -- and I hope everyone is able to enjoy some leisure time!!!

Well, it's official. Bitmain has released the S9. Same form factor as the S7, but producing 14TH for 1375W. At $2100 it's not exactly ROI-friendly. 6 of these would replace my 20 Avalons. Hopefully Caanan responds shortly with a new miner of their own. Let's find a couple blocks, shall we?

Yeah ROI is big and you'll never make it. Although a single one would replace my 3 A6s (and then some). But not at that price it wont

That's what I'm hoping for! I refuse to support Bitmain and their empty blocks by buying new hardware from them. I'll buy second-hand bitmain gear from a 3rd party, but not from "the man" directly. I don't expect to see used S9's any time soon, though. However I do expect the price on the used S7 market just dropped out from the bottom, ha.

My last purchase of gear from Bitmain was early batch S3s in June, 2014. I have an S5, but that was given to me by a friend. He had 10 and didn't know how to set them up, and thought they were all dead. Turns out he didn't know how to properly connect the breakout boards to the PSUs, or how to find the S5s once they were connected. I set him up, and as thanks he gave me one.

wow, 300%. I think we paid the price, now time for a block! Starting to worry that we don't get 4-5 blocks before 1/2'ing and I've sunk a boat load into this round. Anyone know a 5-10Ph guy to come in for a bit and help us out of this rut?

I here you man. I put all my coin it at the start hoping to hit one. I had to pay for hosting out of pocket instead of using Coin but that is the risk. Come on block you know you want to come here.

I had this happen with mmpool.org back in November 2015.

Over 300%. And of course, BTC has risen in price pretty dramatically - over $700 on coinbase. The good news is that I have to pay out far fewer coins for my hosting. The bad news is that we haven't seen any coins come back in. And, of course, last week I was out of the country with pretty limited internet access and 2 of my Avalons went dark - the 2 I have at my home, not at my hosting. All they needed was a rPi reboot, but I couldn't get it done until I got back late last night.

So been sending more hash to the pool last 2 days, feels like trying to have a baby after getting a vasectomy! Keep trying but shooting blanks...... Anyone know if NH/WH has been finding blocks? Seams like after the upgrade they did, lots of empty hash there. I see people landing blocks with MRR, but have not seen anything from NH/WH.
