What are you Radium developers working on now? Smiley

Since 2.4 was released, all of the user guide wiki walk through guides have been updated for the new UI.

You can check them out on our Wiki here, under Walkthroughs: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Radium_SmartChain

Feel free to make suggestions if things arent very clear in those guides. These are just the "rough drafts" for now.

Come into the Slack and chat, you might get a better idea dev work being done, there are some verrrry interesting projects coming to light now and these projects hold great opportunities for everyone to get involved if you so choose to.

-Boardwalk / Selsonblue

The user experience is great and the concept is groundbreaking and that's the most important BUT I wonder if someone can make the UI look a bit less 1997....come on purple text on black background??? ;P

Personally I would go for a simple clean design, no need to reinvent the wheel just make it look like software made this decade...

I agree. A community member is working on the ANN overhaul now and from what I've seen I think Radium should use that look for all the applications.
We'll see what the future brings Wink.

I also agree Cheesy  Ill be the first to admit GUI is not my strong suit. BUT we have some great people working on graphics. Once graphics are done, and I can get some of the code switched around, Ill turn the GUI over to people who are good at GUI.

Staking some Radium, but don't get how it works.
Is there a good description how exactly POS works? What is the sizes and weights of stakes, timings and so on?

We are working on getting some new graphics for Radium, and once that is done we will be making a push to have a stronger social media presence.  In the meantime, we do have:

Twitter: @ProjectRadium
Facobook: https://www.facebook.com/ProjectRadium
Slack: https://projectradon-slack.herokuapp.com/

And it appears you've already found bitcointalk.

Cheers!

its really like the simplest POS just like every other.

for radium:

1 coin awarded per block

your coins are mature after 6 Hrs.

no minimum stake size, smaller inputs (groups of coins) will take longer.

its honestly pretty slow... there are 2,700,000 coins. and there are 1,440 awarded to pos stakers a day. needless to say you need a lot to see any return.

a thousand rads should stake daily last i knew..

feel free to do the math yourself. look at the stakeweight and your stakeweight.

maybe devs can put together a calculator or a formula in the OP so we dont have to answer this every day. if you like rads, put them in your wallet and let it run. staking wont make you rich but youll have more coins than you started with

Where it gets not so simple:
pos stake winner may recieve more than 1 rad per block if another user has "decayed" rads into radon token as the original rads coins are distributed in that block to the staker. for now this is not very frequent. hopefully in the future when the smartchain is heavily used then this will become more common as a supplement to the reward. if that happens as planned the block reward could be dropped to zero coins per block and all the coins awarded to a staker would come form other users who were decaying radium into radon in that block.
example:
A:) bill solves pos stake block #500000. there is no decay events. bill is rewarded 1 rads and his input is not eligebile to stake again for 6 hours
B:) bill solves pos stake block #500000. maggie decayed 2.8 radium into 1 radon. bill is rewarded 1+2.8 rads (3.Cool and maggie recieves her 1 radon. bills input not eligible to stake again for 6 hrs.

$MAID & $BTC other than that some short hodls and some long held garbage.

 ^^ That is spot on.

I just did the math real quick, the current network stake weight is just over 900k, so on AVERAGE 1k radium should earn you between 1 and 1.5 radium a day. Now, there is a TON of variance, so it may be a few days to earn a reward, or you may get two in one day. If the network stake weight changes ( which it often does) then the numbers above are no longer valid.

Thanks, that is the exactly what I wanted.
The last question is how RADS are assigned to bills?
I see my stake size decreased by some amount each time I mine block (for next 6 hours), but this amount is not a fixed number. It can be 300+ or 1000+ RADS. Is there some algorithm to determine the bills input?

You want them to announce what they're going to announce? Devs, before doing that, can you please announce when you'll make your announcement about the future announcements. Just to make sure everyone knows what you're announcing before you announce it.

Haha, I love it!

People, give the devs room and time to work. I know everyone is excited about radium as much as I am but chill out. Do you realize the amount of work that is involved?
Buy your radium and stake or just wait.

I think the best to introduce RAD to Chinese markets by contacting the big exchanges in china like http://www.btc38.com/ or else and to find Chinese bloggers willing  introduce RAD in many media platform in china.
