Can any one please help me?

I'm on an iMac with macOS Sierra 10.12.4 (was on 10.12.3 few days ago but Radium was acting the same)
Radium version: v1.4.5.0

I've been trying to sync my Radium-Qt wallet for more than a week now...
sometimes it downloads very few blocks and stops but 99% of the time it doesn't download anything.

Screenshot:

(This is the current state, I've been keeping the wallet open for hours each day. Usually I have 2 or 3 active connections to radium network but sometimes only 1)

P.S. I have XBC / PPC / BTC wallets as well, they all download blocks very quickly every time I open them (so I assume the issue is not from my side).

He means that if you send your RADS to the wallet and you unlock it, you will earn more RADS as a reward for contributing to the network as a node.
If you have 1000 RADS ( ≈1280$ as today's price), you will earn approximately 0,75 RADS per day, so the more you have, the more you ''stake''.
I find it very profitable at the moment, and considering this project has lots of potential, I think it's also a really good investment for the long term.

So where wallet could one send his rads to mate? and is it still possible to withdraw your rads in that wallet? further, is one has control to that wallet?  or is this mean it is somewhat like an investment? like you cannot take back what you have invest like your 1000 rads for example.

i was quite surprised and got a stake with 170 rads after a day and a half, however i do intend on buying more. Currently at 350 running on a pc i dont use and it says 3 days , thats pretty fair for people who dont have funds to pump 3+ bitcoins into it.

HI!

Sorry for the issues, there are some syncing inefficiencies that we are working on fixing in the wallet. In the meantime, you can download a blockchain image from https://github.com/JJ12880/Radium_Chain/releases/download/1.0/data.zip.  Extract that to the MAC equivalent of  of %appdata% (where the wallet.dat is) and it should catch you up to a few weeks ago. As always, remember to back up your wallet.dat, if you have any coins in your wallet.

Let me know if that helps!

How can I try out the Radium system?

Hello!

You can get the Radium SmartChain from the downloads on the RadiumCore website, here: https://radiumcore.org/downloads
Or on my github here: https://github.com/JJ12880/SmartChain/releases

The SmartChain will download the Radium wallet and a bootstrap or image to speed up syncing if you do not already have the wallet. As always, feedback, suggestions, etc are always welcome!

But the purpose of RADS is not to have them in a wallet but to buy data storage on a blockchain I suppose.

Hi, yes you are correct. In the interest of keeping the system decentralized, Radium coins are used to pay the fees for storing data and hashes in the blockchain. The fees then get recycled back as extra staking rewards. No company or person sells blockchain storage, as all you need are some radium coins and the SmartChain application.

Hello! You can find coin market cap information on both coinmarketcap and the Radium Core website (https://radiumcore.org/stats). You can then use the Telegram chat bot with the /blockchain command to see a real-time value of the yearly staking return (link to Telegram group https://t.me/RadiumOfficial).

Is Radium similar to Factom in that it stores data on blockchain? Where can I buy blockchain storage?

Radium is similar to Factom (we like to think better in some ways Tongue) but I think you have mistaken "stores data on the blockchain" with what both Radium and Factom actually do which is store the hashes of files on the blockchain. This way we don't technically store data (i.e. the actual files) on the blockchain but Radium provides timestamped verifiable proof that a certain "owner" (identified via his/her SmartChain identity) signed his/her file on the blockchain. This is useful to for example verify that downloads (such as wallet downloads of Radium or any other cryptocurrency that has verified their wallet on the SmartChain such as Bela) that you have downloaded are actually the ones that were intended for you to download i.e. that no hacker or malicious 3rd party has interfered with your download. This is just one of a countless number of applications of this type of software.

Hope this helps Smiley

Does your application have real world use and customers?

How are RADS created and destroyed? Is there any inflation?

Can I buy blockchain verification with fiat money or do I have to buy RADS?
