Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Ok, everything is ok, it is a nuance with the block explorer, and how transactions work. Ill type up an explanation here in a sec, just wanted to post fast and re-assure you your ok.

When you say "delete your existing chain", are you referring to blk0001.dat? And is this the only file that needs to be deleted to avoid the error?

I deleted this and still got an error when running the new wallet.

In case people aren't familiar with how to access these files:
User > AppData > Roaming > Radium > blk0001.dat

You may have to make hidden folders visible.

Ok,

The discrepancy you see between your wallet and the block explorer is due to how most coins handle change addresses.   This wiki explains how change addresses work much better than I could in a forum post. It has some very good info.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change

To try and summarize:

Say you want to pay $5.50 for a hamburger, but you only have a $10 bill.  You hand your ten dollar bill to the clerk, and they give you $4.50 back.  This is technically two transactions, the first where you paid $10, and the second where you received $4.50 in change.  Crypto coins work in a similar manner. Every time you receive some coins, you receive a "bill" with the total value of the coins you received in that transaction. These "bills" are known as inputs. For the sake of this example, lets assume you received a transaction for 100 coins. Your wallet now contains one input, worth 100 coins.  But what if you wanted to send just 50 coins to a friend?  Well, you need change. In the transaction to your friend, you "spend" your input of 100 coins, and get 50 coins back in change. The coins you get back in change, create a new input, worth 50 coins.  Now here is where the confusion happens.  Coin wallets assume that it is not best to keep reusing the same address, so the address where the change is sent, is to a different address called a change address.

So, here is what is going on with the block explorer.  The block explorer is looking at ONLY the address that sent the 100 coins, and it does not know to look at the change address as well.   Because of this, the block explorer shows that you spent 100 coins from your address, because it does not realize that you got 50 back in change.  That is why it looks like you are sending more coins than you really are. If you were to look at the actual transaction on the block explorer, you would see the 100 coins leaving your address, 50 coins going to your friend, and the other 50 coming back to your change address.

I hope that explanation was helpful, it took me a long time to understand this system. Let me know if you have any other issues!

yes, thanks! but i don't understand, why it doesn't show me the "change". does it need a time (day's) to show up in the blockexplorer? actually i hold around 660 rads in my wallet, but the blockexplorer shows me around 460, while the last transaction was 30 hours ago.

Your wallet is a collection of addresses, your main address(s) and your change addresses and shows the sum of all your coins. The block explorer only looks at one of your several address at a time, and really has no way of knowing for sure which address is your change address, nor which addresses belong to you, or to your friend.  lets say you have a $10 and a $20 in your right pocket. You pay for $5 of gas, using the $10, but you put your change in your left pocket. The clerk puts their $5 in their pocket. Now we have a $20 in your right pocket, a $5 in your left pocket, and a $5 in the clerks pocket.  There is no way for the block explorer to tell who owns what pocket, and if it only looks at your right pocket, it will correctly report that you only have $20 in your right pocket, even though you have another $5 in your left.  Only your wallet knows that both your right pocket and your left pocket truly belong to you, so it adds the values up and correctly displays that you have $25.

Hummm that is interesting. I just checked my build that I made a few hours ago, and the file, settings, help bar is there and working for me.  I totally believe that it is not for you, but I cant seem to reproduce it.

Live long and prosper!

I also had issues understanding the change address thing when I first got into crypto. This video explains it very well, and quick:

Just give it time, the chart looks very bullish. RADS is new, it needs to establish itself. I have confidence in this coin.

RADS is actually not new. It's a year old.
