The free market determines the reasonable price, and it looks like the hard fork was priced in before it happened. You do not see investors who were refunded dumping their Ether so far. The price of Ether even rose immediately after the hard fork.

But I feel sorry for them because their original plan with the DAO is not doable anymore whatever that plan is.

Why should it have been? If we all stayed at home and never put our necks on the line and tried to make and implement advances then humanity would get nowhere. If at first you don't succeed then try again. We learn from our mistakes. Personally I think it's very very impressive how under such time constraint the community grouped together with consensus to resolve a critical situation. That is to ETHs credit.

Yes. Interest has come back but be careful. This might be just a pump from traders taking advantage of the news of the hard fork. But we have to congratulate them for a job well done. The hard fork went very well without glitches.

Do your own research when speculating in altcoins as you could lose a lot of money if you're not careful.  That said, research is only part of it.  You should also need to learn how to trade and be able to know when to get in a coin and when to go out.  In short, you should have a trading strategy that fits your personality.  That only comes with practice and experience.

I sold most of my Ethereum when the price rose to $1. But fortunately, I mined the Ethereum as well. So I have made some profits.

Mining the Ethereum is quite profitable if you have cheap electricity. But the difficulty is  growing very fast.

It will not be as profitable soon.
