So you will decide on the Airdrop requirements After launch or whats going on ?
I don't like mining when there is uncertainty about the Airdrop.

If this was really a bernie coin then where is the free stuff. You should do an airdrop or some sort of system that pays users for doing nothing every day or maybe an interest rate or like a wellfare type system that pays a lump sum every week or month, just something to really make this coin unique and true to the Bernie Sanders system.

lol crypto welfare. I love it!

Right lol like it would take the POW and POS mining earnings and than equally distribute them to all users of the coin !  And maybe even impose a tax that would be redistributed to the lower wallets on the rich list. Same with any transaction fees. This coin can really be something if they can put a great unique system like this in.  Please try dev it would really make this coin stand out in the crypto world.

PoS will be evenly distributed to BERNcash holders and PoW will be proportionately distributed to BERNcash miners.

Glad to hear you have such high hopes for BERNcash and for Bernie Sanders as president. Thank you for supporting both.

Well thats obviously how POS and POW normally work, but what I'm suggesting is something that would take all the POW and POS earnings and distribute them at an equal rate to every user, in addition if a user has accumulated over a certain threshold of coin they will have a small fee imposed on their balance everyday and it will be redistributed to the group of people who own under a certain threshold of coin, same goes for any transaction fees.  When will the berncash airdrop be ? and what are the qualifications for it ?

We do hope to open the airdrop at launch and it does look like we will have sufficient time to do so. I can't say what the payout amount will be yet. I need to discuss those figures with the Bernie Sanders supporters that ask me to build BERNcash. I think it is safe to say that 25% of the instamine (2.5 million BERN) will be used for this first airdrop but, again, I am not the person that makes that final decission. 25% is the percentage we talked about previously.

The qualifications discussed were: 1) a BERN address of course. 2) verified email address. 3) geographically verified via IP address as present in the USA. 4) agreement that person entering is a USA citizen.

More criteria might be added. Some could be removed. Myself as a person do value privacy to an high level and do give that respect to all other people. It will not be my personal call to make. I will advise of my opinion to the Bernie Sanders supporters. If you have an opinion about it, please feel free to voice it. I will of course listen to any reasonable argument. What I can say is, this first of what might be many airdrops is aimed to get BERN into the hands of people that support Bernie Sanders. I do understand that one might not be a citizen and still support Bernie Sanders and I did state this to the Bernie Sanders supporters. They are of the opinion they want the airdropped coins to get in the hands of Bernie Sanders supporters that could, and hopefully do, vote for Bernie.

The supporters are not active bitcointalk users but they are aware of this thread and do read it. If you share your opinion, I will respond to it but, it is likely they will read it also.

I hope I answered your questions sufficently Brob12321. I will relay any new information that comes from my meetings as fast as possible.

3) geographically verified via IP address as present in the USA. 4) agreement that person entering is a USA citizen.

Seriously! I'm out of this i guess!
Guys, i don't want my geographical Location known and neither do i have to be a US citizen to support a crypto currency.
If only US citizens with verified documents are involved in BTC, i guess the price will be at $1 or even be dead by now.

So you will decide on the Airdrop requirements After launch or whats going on ?
I don't like mining when there is uncertainty about the Airdrop.

The airdrop requirements are decided. Valid BERN adrress, verified email, US resident agreement, IP geolocated within the USA. What is up in the air is the number of recipients and therefore, the payout amount also. The first airdrop is only allocated 2.5 million BERN of the 10 million instamine. These things are certain.

I do understand, and do share, your dislike of the uncertainty sluppy. I do sicerly apologize for it. All I can say is the airdrop will happen. Regardless of the decisions of the number of recipients made by by the Bernie Sanders supporters and the marketing team the Bernie Sanders supporters selected. Both groups requested more time. Please do understand they are not knowledgeable of crypto currency. In fact, in the meetings, only one person other than myself has heard of bitcoin. I have spent hours explaining, to the best of my abilities, both during meetings and even one-on-one with some of the people involved.

As I have stated, personally I am no political guru nor a marketing guru. I do have to respect the other members of the BERN team in their areas of expertise and their requests of more time to better understand how to proceed with the airdrop.

Again, the only uncertainty of the BERN airdrop is the number of participants. I have considered opening the airdrop for entry at launch even if the decision is not made by that time. I would of course need approval to do that from the rest of the team that is involved. Again, I do apologize and I will report any information as soon as possible as I am eager to put this question to rest also.

I hope my explanation does give you the confidence in BERN to mine it and I do apologize on my team's behalf if it has not. If there is anything I could do that you think would put your concern to bay, please do share.

Thank you in advance for your understanding of the situation.

There is no documentation required for the airdrop and the geographic restriction only applies to the airdrop and nothing else. You do not have to be a US citizen to support crypto or, for that matter, Bernie Sanders. I agree.

The wallets, seed nodes, and block explorer are all sitting on the shelf. Ready for launch.

In regards to the airdrop, this is what I am pushing for because I know a lot of you want to see it happen at launch and I do not want to disappoint. I will open the airdrop at launch. This airdrop will pay 250 BERN to 10000 applications. Being that this is only 25% of the instamine, there will still be 7.5 million BERN after marketing has caught up for an additional airdrops as they see fit. I think if I do it this way, everyone should be happy. Miners, community, and my team.

I do have to step away briefly for a funeral today but, I do think I can convince my team to let me proceed with this plan.

Though question about the rewards...

rewards go 250 -> 10 -> 100 -> 10

Why go back up to 100?
Just curious

I heard there will be asics coming out for x11 - x15 pretty soon, they will be very expensive like the first bitcoin miners were, but still they are coming soon.

No, GPU mine-able. I was testing with sgminer, minerd, and daemon. CPU mining sees a significant increase in hash versus x15. GPU, only slightly. My thought was to give a slight 'advantage' to people that are less knowledgeable of mining or can not afford a modern GPU.

On that note, there is in-wallet CPU mining. I added this to make it easier for people that are, again, less knowledgeable of mining. Mining in two clicks. Smiley
