https://developer.gulden.com/blog/Development statement regarding third party work.Over the last month we have been approached by various people outside of the Gulden community to either help with development of their own coin or to develop a new coin for them. In some cases a large financial incentive to do so. While we are inspired by the confidence in our development team we want it to be known that our focus is 110% on Gulden and we are unable to accommodate any requests that do not involve the Gulden project. Yeah, Gulden first.  And Gulden is never ready. The funding for the next development is already finished so there is work enough.  |

Very excited to finally have the first version of the new Android wallet out in the wild, slowly but surely we are getting all of our foundations in place on which to build.
With the basics of Android/iOS and the desktop now in place and at adequate code quality we are well positioned to start really pushing new features going forward without old/rusty/broken code getting in the way.
Just a reminder to all to please remember to rate the app on the store after you have tried it out, ratings are important.

The sync was super fast and first deposit showed up instantly. How safe is this wallet to use for storing a lot of coins ? |

How safe is this wallet to use for storing a lot of coins ?
Glad you like it. In terms of security - if you set a password (when it asks you at start) it is fully encrypted with that password on the device, backups are also encrypted with a password. So in this sense it is 100% safe - if someone gains access to the files on your phone this won't give them access to your money without the password. That said phones are more vulnerable than regular computers, especially if rooted, and under the right circumstances your password could get stolen if the phone is compromised by the right app, so not 100% safe - desktop wallet remains the safer choice for really large sums of money, while phones are great for day to day spending. Of course if you keep your phone relatively well secured, and don't store lots of dodgy malicious apps, then the above shouldn't happen. The other weak point is your recovery phrase, if you copy this to the clipboard and it gets compromised then this could also be a source of attack, so if you plan to handle significant funds don't copy it to the clipboard but rather write it down manually. The above advice aside, it is pretty secure, but common sense etc. applies. |

If you copy the address from an other app (e.g. browser) it will appear in the app, after which you can click the "pay address from clipboard" button. |

Wow! The android app is fantastic i just did a bitcoin deposit to bittrex. Read the bitcoin QR code with the android app and paid so with Gulden. I know that is working through Nocks but all that happens under the hood. As app user you see nothing and pay just with Gulden! |

Thank you for this wonderful wallet! I like that it brings up a pin you must enter and phrase to copy when you first login or you forget to secure and backup your wallet. |

Wow we have masterpieces here now with the Gulden apps. Very happy. Look it up for your own country (google) where bitcoin (and thus Gulden  ) is accepted. And you can pay userfriendly with the apps there from now on. For the dutch: here you can pay now with Gulden now also, (besides the webshops such as thuisbezorgd.nl f.e) : http://www.bitcoinspot.nl/waar-kan-je-in-nederland-met-bitcoins-betalen.html (loading takes a while) |
