I'm starting to lose faith in LISK.
I don't know why but it makes me feel like OP is delaying the announce for nothing, providing a security excuse which can easily be overcome by a week at most.

Its unnecessary to postpone by a month.

Don't be surprised if they came with an early launch but they set on 24th to be sure that not delay it again.

I really hope they don't due another delay after May 24th. The information could of been explained openly but they didn't. They waited to the last 6 days of April. Bow they claim they won't do it again. It is getting hard to believe them. You don't need to wait to hire people after the coinbase funds are released. Plenty of developers would work and get paid afterwards. This is a big crowdfunding campaign. You must be transparent when it comes to crowdfunding. Not after the community was let down twice because of your poor communication skills. I do believe in the tech behind Lisk but as of now it ends there.

they claimed to be the successor of ethereum but they never created the code to handle the amount of transactions a successor to eth would. did they not believe in their coin. amazing imagine if people knew this before this would be a whole different story. i predict more errors after launch code is unfinished and done quickly release it next year check it thoroughly

"They" never claimed such a thing. Quite the opposite. (or do you wanna provide some quotes?)
Others claimed all sort of things pro and con, but what can the devs any dev can do about community posts?

Moving from SQLite to PostgreSQL takes time and proper testing and this is a terrific move to make before they launch, easier to test when there is no main net online.

I'm pretty sure it will be released on May 24th. They are working hard on newer, better version and to that it needs to be released and tested properly.

I wouldn't be suprised.
This is the only thing I pissed about and think Max screwed up so far. They overpromised in terms of deadline.
They should've known any date that they utter (even when apr 11. were said as tentative) will be viewed as set in stone. Never should've annonuced any deadline originally. "We will release launch Lisk after necessary improvements of the Crpyti cpde and careful testing. It should be at least two weeks but no more than three months after ICO ends. We will let you know two weeks before."

Thats it, and even that is too specific and constraining. I understand the reasoning for providing a sort deadline and a date as soons as possible, but it's way too big of a risk with so many unknowns, and it bit them in the ass.

It won't matter that much in the long run as no one will care about this delay in two months, but all this stupidity here is still annoying, and a direct result of this

one question, where the hell is the dev/are the devs with some answers?  if i were an investor i wouldn't give two shits what all you "supporters" think (how do we know you aren't just shills??).  the dev INFO to his community and "investors" (or in this case "donators" lulz) is what matters.  assuming they are legit.  with all the btc capital raised hopefully lisk (and even waves) come thru nicely in the end.

This Thread got 20 new pages in under 24 hours. Max posted some answers already, but it is hard to find them between all the FUD and whining. I suggest, you simply go to his latest posts page:

yes they did i'l have to look for the quotes but i remember one where it was max i think he said they are in better position was at launch lol yea right only if ico investors knew massive blow to lisk investors and what is even more crazy its 7 days before waves launch if no delay there then the profits which were to be made here will be made there thanks for the btc people

not a big fan of waves but a fan of making money so huge dump atleast if they launched now they would have 4 weeks of trading to pump n dump but 7 days ooooh this is gonna be aaawwwwwessssoome

They have set the date for the 24th...that's the date it should be. If they are ready say the 17th, they should NOT launch the 17th. That's completely unprofessional. Lisk is going to be nuts on launch day with lot of money to be made/lost. If someone sees that Lisk has a firm date to launch on---which is May 24th--then they may not be following lisk as closely as others until the 23rd or so. And if it launches before then, then they may have gotten screwed out of a chance to trade the volatility.

I certainly don't want any more delays, but setting a date and then not launching on that date is not right, regardless of if the launch is later or earlier then the set date.

Sorry, I was unclear, I should've specified based on the thing I quoted.  I'm sure they won't launch sooner it would be stupid move, unprofessional as you said. What I meant that they for sure will finish all necessary changes and tests much sooner. They left a much greater buffer this time, at least learned from previous mistake. Smiley

Sockpuppets....sockpuppets....everywhere there's sockpuppets.

Oh no where are the devs?
Oh no they will run away with our btc because we "donated" those btc.
Oh no another delay.  For sure they will delay 1 more time because they aren't hiring any help.

Did I miss anything?  If you are Fudding with this bullshit it's because you want cheap coins.  Well...sorry you are not getting them.  I will be waiting as I'm sure all the pro-liskers here will be.  I honestly think very few weak and gullible people will fall for this shit.  But good luck to you.
