I thought that was the reason we gave the Lisk team $10,000,000. To work on these stuff, if we're doing all that ourselves we better use another currency that we own % of it. I'm not paying someone $10,000,000 and working for him for free.
1. There is no we, you didn't pay the team anything. You bought in at 80k on an exchange as you reminded us many times. 2. We who did invest in the ICO actually read the terms so we knew what we are paying for (btw, it was technically "donating"). And it was not for dapp development. The main job of the core team is to create a solid, stable code base, with the necessary features that make dapp development possible. Making applications and actually using the Lisk network is up to the community. We are the ones who have to develop or at least fund developments. Either way good luck finding someone working for free. Why not just wait till Lisk reaches a stable version, fork it, and then release your dapp on that new fork? Lisk doesn't have any dapps right now for anyone to stay on it, so people will jump ship pretty easily.

Free? Why do anyone creates any application on any platform? Sure, some for hobby, but most to make money. They have an idea, they create it and try to make money with it using various business models. If they need help, funding, etc, they will make a proposal, a business plan and try to get funding for development in exchange for future profits. There were many discussions about this and a group of us will be ready to provide funds for good ideas when time comes. Why not just wait till Lisk reaches a stable version, fork it, and then release your dapp on that new fork? Lisk doesn't have any dapps right now for anyone to stay on it, so people will jump ship pretty easily.
There is not benefit for a dapp developer to run their own main chain. Running the Lisk network (or any network for the same code base) costs thousands of dollars every months. It will cost more in time as usage increases. Besides money, it's costs time too. There is other considerations as well why it would be impractical but that is more than enough reason not to.

He's not gonna run it by his own obviously, he'll share the coins with new investors, there's always people around ready to grab on an opportunity. Give it enough developers and it's gonna be a success. The Lisk team keeps the ICO money, the new people get their product and new coins, the only ones that get screwed over are Lisk holders. We can name is LiskA ( Lisk Apps ). It's gonna be great!

Hmmm, partially good. But what the author describes here? Blocksafe, an upcoming blockchain startup, will use a combination of Lisk, BitTorrent and Telehash to create their infrastructure for smart devices of firearms. LiskDice, an upcoming gaming solution built on the Lisk platform, just recently raised over 4000 BTC in its crowdfunding. The official Lisk forum and chat is thriving and new projects are coming up every other day.

Similar to what Augur, Digix and other Ethereum DaPPs have done.

Please remember that a press release just state facts and doesn't promote anything. I thought I'm in no position to evaluate projects, that's why I at least mentioned it, it is interesting after all. The ICO is over. However, I still added a warning at the end of the PR. LiskDice wants or wanted to develop a gambling SDK for Lisk. Does someone have more information?
