Lisk Technical Meeting - 08.13.2016Exact time/place is to be determined, but probably same time as our last Community Meeting at lisk.chat #general. I am one of the editors accepting questions to add to the outline. Got a Lisk tech question? Send me a message here on BCT and I'll add it to the list below! https://docs.google.com/document/d/14KcZqMHp_wfOkqCTXuP8F9fhwaMspIikKcAzg7Pa5p4/edit?ts=57a3c7cb#heading=h.poywsxpy3yogmetropolit - I added your question, thanks. I agree it is a sidechain technical question. Calabi–Yau Manifold - I added your question under "Other", thanks. However, your questions are not "technical" ones. I recommend you post them here in the BCT forum and let LiskHQ answer them here. bitcoinbox - I added your question under "Other", thanks. However, your questions are not "technical" ones. Follow the continuing efforts of YOUR Lisk Testnet Team here as they struggle to get 0.3.2 up and running: https://testnet-explorer.lisk.io/delegateMonitorAt this writing, a third of the testnet delegates are still trying to get 0.3.2 up and running. Half of THOSE are people who had 80%+ productivity on 0.3.1, so they absolutely know what they are doing. The bottom line: Running a Lisk node is not easy and you need to be thankful there are people out there who are willing to do it for you. Please go vote for them on mainet. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1346646.msg15800908#msg15800908

OK.
I have questions:
1. Max told at community meeting about roadmap very soon after 0.3.2. When Lisk team will release roadmap?
2. Max told at community meeting about asking poloniex to add Lisk on marging trading (after 0.3.2); so when he will ask them? (and how? by using some small bribe?)
Thanks

I cashed out all my Lisk (except for mal_dapp_fund) 72 hours ago for 286 BTC (which I bought at ICO for 135 BTC four months ago). If I had done nothing, I would be holding Lisk worth 316 BTC today. Instead, I am now hodling ETC worth 390 BTC. What would you do?
I made 151 BTC profit in Lisk. That took me 4 months because I was hodling Lisk since I truly believe in its tech. Now I've made 74 BTC (unrealized) profit (so far) with ETC in just three days.
Anything could still happen. I have a stop loss in place to bail me out with enough BTC to buy back into Lisk at my original holdings. It would currently take a 20% drop in ETC to hit that stop. But the initial storm is dying down, and ETC / ETH is starting to look more and more like a normal market. Every day ETC survives now, it becomes more and more legitimate. The more legitimate ETC becomes, the more likely its price will at least drift upward to match the price of ETH. Which is $10.
What would you do?
I updated my Lisk testnet node to 0.3.2 last night, that's what I did.
Dude you make me angry, you made 75 BTC and you're still gambling? WHY? Read this https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/ and get the fuck out of ETC scam coin. There is no team behind it, no developers, just immutability which you can have with any other coin and greedy miners jumping on it's ship and selling mined coins every few hours till ETC still have value. It's your money, i shouldn't care at all but this somehow making me angry dude, take the profit and leave that piece of crap plz. P.S. send me some of those profits to trade and get you daily profit. thnx. How many developers did btc had in the beginning stage ?

They will add it to magin soon enough imo as it is constantly in the top 5 volume. Asking won't help nothing unless it has some dollars attached to the ask and that is just speculation from my part.

Comparing BTC and ETC is just wrong. BTC is the first crypto currency, the inovation, the foundation of all other cryptos. ETC on the other hand is a leftover from ETH, blockchain unwanted by the very majority of the ETH community and by the whole ETH team. Also lets not forget that the hacker is holding a lot of funds on ETC chain. If you add the dirty mindset of the ETC community in which they plan to copy paste dapps or software meant only for ETH then it's clearly visible that ETC is a bunch of crap. Im not sure if ETC without the team will be able to get to Casper at all, and if not mining difficulty bomb will simply kill it.

The real question is: why did Charles not assign three devs to Lisk when he was taken on as a Lisk advisor and accepted an advisor fee?

Ethereum Classic produces a constant 18M coin per year inflation, and the community is obviously resistant to doing any hard forks to change the emission rate or switch away from POW
Lisk inflation steadily drops until it levels out at a constant rate of 3M coins per year in year 5
With Ethereum Classic, your investment is rapidly diluted by inflation, which is used to pay for miners' wasteful electricity and hardware costs
With Lisk, your investment is hardly affected by the low inflation, which goes towards community-elected delegates who use the inflation to fund positive initiatives for Lisk

The real question is: why did Charles not assign three devs to Lisk when he was taken on as a Lisk advisor and accepted an advisor fee? from what I gathered the one calling the shots is the programmer, he should pull aside and assume more a managerial role, hire the young computer engineering talent needed and let them loose on it. He's like 40 yo he shouldn't program all alone in a project he doesn't really have much experience prior to the field. Do the right thing Lisk, hire zie Computer Enzineers. edit: also make sure they are Zermans.

I think that everyone here would like to see more, me included. Why don't you help them out with some devs? Are you pleased with how Lisk development is progressing? They seem to be stuck in a mostly locked state until the legal entity is setup in Germany. Apparently the rules of the trust max setup with the other two trustees prevent him from spending crowdsale funds until the ggmbh is operational. I've provided a lot of recruitment bandwidth for Lisk when they have funds to do so; however, to answer your question, I am not pleased and I'd like to see more. I'd like to see a roadmap soon and milestones.
