I setup the masternode but no earnings.  Is the masternode activated?

Masternodes won't get rewards till after the hard fork, on block 1087500 which is on the 30th, so 2 days!

September 28th Terracoin Update - Countdown!

We are counting down to the hard fork which will happen in approximately 42 hours!!

If you are wondering why the date or time seems to flucutate that is because when we calculate the date we use the block time of two minutes.  In reality, blocks aren't generated every two minutes but when a block is solved.  This usually averages out to around 2 minutes but lately it has taken a little bit longer, which is why the time keeps changing.

As we get closer you can calculate a rough guess yourself.  Take 1,0875,000 (the hard fork block) and subtract the current block.  This can be found on a block explorer such as https://bchain.info/trc/ or in your wallets on the information tab.  Then divide that number by 30 which is the number of blocks an hour.

For example: 1087500-1086238=1262.  1262/30≈42 hours.

Hello, I'm new here and in crypto general. I downloaded all the .exe files and just opened those one by one. Now i'm waiting for the wallet to sync up to date. I'm wondering did i do something wrong by downloading and opening all the .exe files or is it ok? And do i need the Source code files to anything or can i just after syncing send my coins to the wallet and start preparing the Masternodes with the instructions given here?

All information for a newbie is appreciated..

If you just want the wallet all you need to do is run the terracoin-qt.exe.  I am assuming you are on Windows.  If you want to set up a masternode you will need the terracoind, and may need the other ones.

I update the github to point out that if you only want the wallet then terracoin-qt is what you want.

Hi all.
Please be careful setting up a masternode. If you don't do things correctly and you're not used to configure the security of a server you may encounter some problems. An attacker can hack your masternode and even steal your coins.

I've seen many intrusion attempts on my vps in just few hours. So be careful.

I'd also like to ask if setting up a masternode can cause legal issues. I've read in the dash forum that someone ask if masternode mixing coins could be seen in the future as money laundering.  What about terracoin? Does masternodes help to anonymize transfers?

Of course, coins are safe...if you follow the guide. I'm pretty sure that someone not tecnically prepared will keep wallet on the masternode server...
So seeing that someone don't even know what file to download, alerts me.

They put the wallet into maintenance which means they are in the process of upgrading it to the new wallet so your coins should be fine. My new theory is that a couple of the exchanges don't know that new wallet works both before and after the fork so they are just being extra careful by putting the wallet into maintenance until the hard fork.  That is about 18 hours away.

I still check on all of the exchanges every day and from what I have heard they are all going to do it.
