No there is no need to re plot all your discs If you have previously mined Signum, you can still use your existing plot files (POC2)

I'm still using latest qbundle 2.5.3 too and for an update it is only nessecary to replace burst.exe, burst.jar, and the html folder in your previous wallet directory

The project is dead. rico666 brought it some hope but nixops and his girlfriend spread rumors and FUD then the community listened and they killed it. Burst will never go back to all time highs again.

And what kind of development can we talk about if a group of amateurs without funding and investor investments in their free time from other work is engaged in Burst.

What's the difference with the current set of developers that Burst has now? I think the most professional group of developers that Burst had was the group of rico666. He coordinated everything from technical development, community development and marketing development.

I have a counter question, but where did this rico666 go? Why did he abandon Burst? As I understand it, no one kicked him out of the project and took him away by force.
After reading the Burst discord, where the current development team quickly and intelligibly explained that they are enthusiasts and are working on Burst to the best of their strength and capabilities. There are few of them, they do not have funding from outside. Therefore, to promote Burst by buying bots for advertising in social networks, messengers, etc. they have no funds. They also clearly said that memes and tweets about Burst from Elon Musk, or Kim Kardashian are also not worth waiting for, because it costs a lot of money.
Therefore, they welcome any help from the community! Tweets, memes, retweets, likes, any kind of advertising or promotion Burst in social networks, forums, messengers, on airplanes, airships, starships, Biden's underpants, etc.

rico666 and team didn’t abandon BURST. It was the majority of the community siding with nixops when nixops accused rico666 and his team of making impossible goals for the project. Where is nixops now? Where is his “I will fight with code” talk? He is a scammer.

What are you talking about buying bots for advertising and marketing? Is that the new team’s plan? rico666’s plans were development of the coin to improve it. They also were self funded and bought many of their coins in the spot market.

I think you should join forces with the Bitcoin HD (BHD) project.
Inside BHD are now clearly some inexperienced and young guys who need drastic changes.
Perhaps you will rename your brand to BitcoinHD (BHD) and merge. I think it will be a good idea to keep moving forward and become a real competitor to CHIA.

I'd advocate for a renaming of the thread due to the rebranding to Signum, if the OP is still around*, or alternatively starting a new thread. It's really becoming difficult to find content about this coin in Bitcointalk ... and that may have to do with the low attention it's getting here. (I think however the rebranding is positive, as the old name was quite bad.)

Or is there another thread about Burst/Signum development and I don't find it? I have searched the word "Signum" with Google in Bitcointalk, but there seems to be no matching thread title (only threads about a firm called "Signum Capital" which seems unrelated to this coin). So if there is one I'd be grateful for a link.

Being a decentralized coin without premine Signum could be a bit bolder, taking into account the current "securities discussion" (which should affect competitor Chia too due to its more centralized structure)

Yep, me too, and not only because of this altcoin game in the german subforum! I have mainly two reasons why I think Signum is interesting:

1) it's one of the few historic coins which did something really new in the consensus algorithm field (together with PPC)
2) it was one of the few turing complete smart contract platforms which were not premined, i.e. are community-driven and decentralized from the start. That's also the reason why I asked about the reward ...

I've however still some doubts about it ... first, its NXT codebase may not be exactly the best of the market, and second, there were some strange projects in the past, probably from other development teams (remember "Dymaxion"?). At least according to the blog, the current team is however working regularly on it and releasing new features, so at least in the short term many indicators look well taking into account it's a small altcoin. Of course, the node issue has to be observed.
