is there a sportsbook to bet on?
So I don't think it'll be in Moneypot's interests to make functionality for that
They made a thread a while back asking what people would like to see in a sportsbook, and why they dislike the existing ones they use. It's very possible that they were/are considering running a sportsbook. Also, if they could get it to work (the bet accepting thing), they could allow any developer to create a nice sportsbook with a margin of their choice.

I don't know whether their system allows for sports sites app to use their bankroll.
A site could use moneypot as a deposit option and have an offsite sportsbook, but you can't do it directly.

Both parts of your comment are correct.

That is very interesting..
I'll be working on a few things in the next few weeks then Smiley

Hello, I have 888 RBIES to exchange for BTC at the moment, won't acquire more RBIES for a decent while anyway, so, I am ready and waiting to discover a RBIES wallet address belonging to a MoneyPot or BBets/RBIES team dev now, so I can send them to their address and await for my account to be credited with BTC : https://www.moneypot.com/users/ruby

Thanks Wink

Talking about rubies, moneypot said that they will implement rubies but until now I only saw betterbets.io only that apply rubies on their site. So how about other gambling site? Are you guys going to implement it or just will stay the same? And I ever saw you guys said that you are always going to buy rubies on 1k sat and now it is below that. Any clarification?

I'll clarify both: 1) v2 will come with RBIES as part of it, so it's up to each site whether or not they want to implement it. Sites can choose to go with just BTC, just an alt, or everything we offer. I assume most will roll with all though

2) MP does buy at 1k sat, but does not have buy orders set up. It's all done manually through support. MP doesn't have anything to do with the exchanges and if people want to list/sell them below 1k, that's their option -- MP will still buy at 1k, Smiley.

Wow investors  continue to get beaten down... is the issue possibly  too many cooks in the kitchen? Can someone run a variance calculator on the results and show the standard deviation of the results...

While variance has not been kind to us, it is not as much as people seem to think it is. So far we are running at a little over 80% of what the expected value is (that is 0.8 / 1). Stats are significantly skewed by a few big "jackpot" style wins that we have since curbed from being able to occur.

Source: https://dicesites.com/moneypot

And if by "too many cooks in the kitchen" you are inferring that one of our team is cheating the bankroll, you would be incorrect and I would kindly ask you to not start rumors.

I meant by too many apps and maybe one or some could be getting exploited. As you pointed out tho expected ev is somewhat close to actual ev.

Note: although the total stats show 81% of expected profit, for investors this actually results into 39% of expected profit (since apps have no variance-risk.) I assume the opposite is true too.. if a player loses a lot, app gains little while investors profit a lot.

Note2: JD was running at 36% of expected profit after 5.3M BTC wagered, so this is nothing yet Tongue

Due to unforeseen family difficulties, I will have to reschedule the maintenance event planned for this Saturday to a later date.

I will do my best over the next few days to complete some of these behind the scenes.

Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Hello good people, starting December 15th, 2016 all Bitcoin volume on https://betterbets.io will be tracked for the upcoming upgrades and promotion
that will go live January 15th, 2017.

As always we like to start each year off with something really special and this one is no different. In order to qualify for this bonus your player accounts must
have wagered at least 5BTC in betting volume by January 13th, 2017. At that time our developers will take the snapshot of each account's volume and we'll
give you an appropriate prize for your loyalty to our casino. There are more features coming, but it's best to save some things as good surprises for the launch date.

Happy holidays to everyone, and your family during this Christmas season.

So Remember, remember the 15th of December...the accounting starts then.

I have not been following MP for a while now, however over the long run, the bankroll profit of a casino will be roughly the HE times the amount wadgered at the casino. The fact that the owners of the casino are different then the owners of the bankroll means that you will need to trust that the owners of the casino are not cheating the owners of the bankroll (I have no reason to believe this is the case).

The fact that MP takes a portion of the HE regardless of if the bankroll is profitable or not somewhat complicates things, however the above statement should generally be true.

To the extent that (a) you will not need your investment in the medium term, (b) trust that the owners of MP are not cheating the owners of the bankroll and (c) believe that MP will continue to have similar or greater betting volumes then you should keep your investment. If any of the above is not true then you might want to divest.

I reported in slack that imo there is a socketpot problem and got no answer. but I am not an expert and maybe it is not socketpot but something else

beside chat and all bets are on and off and many users cant connectto our site I tried now a few sweeper apps and they show (at least for me)
Error while reconnectiing! Couldn't connect to socketpot. Verify your connection or contact moneypot support.

my question is it only showing for me and our users or for all users or app owners especially sweeper owners? and waht kind of problem might this be?

thx

Due to routine faucet abuse, the faucet claim amount has been decreased by 100 satoshi. Please note the faucet will be deprecated in V2 in favor of the bucketing system.
