Do you consider trading as gambling?

Hey people,

I've always been a huge gambler. I like creating useless schemes (as we all know bank always win ^^) and betting whole nights long in order to find THE right way of betting.
But I need change, I can't bet over and over on the same game cause after I see that nothing can be done to change the odds, I'm bored.

So I thought a bit about trading and I started not so long ago. and it feels a bit like a betting game without knowing the odds and with an infinity of parameters!

Does anyone else takes trading as a gambling game?

Yes, it can be compared to gambling somehow but trading needs skills, analysis, right information and patience. These things play a major role to your success with trading. The percentage of a successful trade is much better than the percentage of a successful gambling. In my own opinion, trading is like a scientific gambling.

But we can not still consider trading is a gambling because we are just buying and selling the coins if they increase the value we are getting  benefits..
This is just we are buying on the market if the product is in demand more people are buying that product and if the supply is getting low the price is increasing.. unlike in gambling that you are gamble for fun and if you are lucky you will win or gain a profit unlike in trading that any time you can sell the coin you are holding..

In my opinion no,,because trading is a kind of investing for example if we go on business it is natural way that we invest a money.We take a risk on that and maybe we have a get a profit on that or maybe it might be lose.Trading is investors.

Yeah, trading is just a form of risk that has the high profitability. Same as that it has got the increased losing chances if people involve without proper knowledge, because with gambling too we risk high expecting good profiting.

I think trading is not gambling even though some people consider the actual trading price positioning guess that will happen in the future. Trading differs from gambling because gambling when we could lose capital quickly. In trading we can do a stop loss if the price does not match the predictions. Thank you

I agree with you but many people prefer gambling over trading as earning in trading it is a bit time consuming and return also isn't high so many people end up gambling. And if you also notice those people aren't wrong also for trading we need skills and other factors.

Right although there is a many different styles of investing money especially when trading. Depending on how somebody trades or invests money into a certain item the risk could stay the same as if they were Gambling on something.
Gambling usually has a really large risk to win ratio and trading doesn't have that much of a risk put on to it. I would prefer to trade because investing in the right thing is like interest adding into my account.

No! gambling can never be like trading at all, it is because trading is your real business where you can have a big profit in the future, if you will become optimistic, its far that you can become one of the successful traders too. While gambling is used for fun and happiness and depending on luck most often.

Gambling can be considered as real business too. The reality about these days, gambling isn't treated that way anymore, about that happiness,fun and luck that you are saying. People are treating it right now as a method of earning same with trading. Many are considering gambling is trading because of the same idea of it, taking up the risk.

Gambling is not trading for sure and there is no way for people to mix that up. Gambling is gambling while trading is not really gambling, those are the differences . I feel that so many people think that both is the same , because people think that both require luck however gambling purely require luck unlike trading

I would like to summarize that trading has safety measures that can reduce or stop you from losing further when the odds are against you but gambling can make you loose everything at once .

Yes you are right trading is not like gambling as in trading we do not lose money withut the will of our heart while in gambling we lose our money even in good situation. In gambling we rely on our luck.

IMO, actually gambling and trading are the same because we are dealing with opportunities, analysis also uses the same pattern by using momentum to estimates, the difference is only in using time and a larger volume, in trade sometimes I also often do a swap option, so that both this is an integral part.

Yes if I am going to blind trading when I have no background in that coin but I will buy that and trade it that is gambling for me. But mostly no because trading need strategy and knowledge the more the knowledge you have the more you lessen the risk to loss  in that trade.

I agree, Gambling and Trading does have many similarities, as there is a risk of trading and gambling, even though the risk of trading is not for the risk in gambling. But trading could not be considered as gambling. Trading is a real business, while gambling is a game. That's my opinion about trading and gambling.

Yes if I am going to blind trading when I have no background in that coin but I will buy that and trade it that is gambling for me. But mostly no because trading need strategy and knowledge the more the knowledge you have the more you lessen the risk to loss  in that trade.

i think for some people, trading is like gambling but with some learning that we search and we read lesson about trading, then i think it will not same as gambling. but if we don't have any info in trading and we only buy randomly, then i think its the same as we do gambling in trading and soon we can not make profit as we are in stuck in that coins.

If you invest in any altcoin without doing any research then it will be same as gambling as you don't have any knowledge about it and you are depending only on luck that price will pump and you will be making profits from it but it usually doesn't happens.

They have similarity but I'm not going to consider both of them anymore as the same, they've got their very own part and meaning that makes them different.

It depends on the gambler itself, gambling would need us to be lucky to win but there are people who can certainly make consistent money in gambling and I'm pretty sure they are very smart enough and they do not rely on luck. Typical gamblers do rely on luck because we believe that is only our chances and we know it would not give us a long term success so it's better to concentrate in trading if that is what you are looking for.

That's right if you are a typical gambler and depending only on luck to win money then its better to switch to trading instead of wasting time and money in gambling as majority of the times you not be winning and will donate your hard earned coins to the casino houses.
