I can't remember the exact amount that I started trading, but I think that it was near 0.01 when I just bought altcoin and then traded after few days. At least,  I didn't lose anything even though it was a tiny profit besides the exchanges fee.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

What is the minimum amount to start as a trader?
If you want to try trading as a novice, you must not put lots of money and should start with as little as possible. For a pro trader however small amount means small profit hence atleast 1 bitcoin would be more appropriate.Remember trading is a risky business so invest only as much that you can afford to lose

I think you need at least 1BTC to start and 10BTC for more serious trades. I'm holding 10BTC in Exchange just to trade agains national currency. These days price is more stabilised so profit margin become too low. More coins = More profit

as trading is risky, you don't want to invest a huge amount on trading.. a small reasonable amount is enough , i just started trade for 0.01 btc.. at start if you trade for huge amount there can be a chance for loosing it..

IMO it depends on the size of your trading and how much you are expecting to make, A decent trader won't risk more than %1 per trade and make profit so I think the average would need to be at least 100 BTC to make profit from trading BTC and USD.

Any amount of course will do but it's better to put some guts on quite decent capital like BTC1 investment. You can't really feel your profit especially when the price only fluctuates in a small margin if you have only small amount. You will just feel the profit for small amount when there such a sudden pump like $50 or more range.

I think it's too small for you if you do trade dollar/btc although bitcoin prices rose 10% in a day
you will you earn only $0.4 I thought it was too small capital

if you are going to make trading your source of income small capital won't work but if you will going to use it as a another source of income and you won't rely on it small amount would work for you to understand first how trade works.

If you are new and you starting tradings you can lose money very easily so i can recommend only small amounts under 5$ for start. Also if you starting gambling on Primedice my recommendations are try with amount under 20k satoshi.
This menas try to double this amount or at least increase 50% from starting position.
Minimum is not defined, try with amount you won't be sorry to lose. Wink

I think for trading bitcoin capital 1 btc will be very pretty.
but to trade bitcoin/usd I think you need a capital of more than 1 BTC. if only 1 BTC your profits will not be large enough

Each exchange has its own process in trading. I came across a website which needs a limit of one bitcoin to be a trader.

Well, one bitcoin is trading capital so that you can benefit greatly every day. I also wanted to like it, but I have not had one bitcoin for trading, so I just use a minimum of 0.1 BTC as my account in trading

It depends if you are a beginner, which I assume you are, or an advanced trader. As a starter, don't invest a lot. At first, get to know bitcoin trading system, try to trade with smaller amounts as it will definitely bring you a basic knowledge of it.

In my opinion you shouldn't go straight to 1BTC, as it is a huge amount of money. It will hurt to loose that much if something unexpected happens, thats why, start with smaller amounts at first, like 0.1BTC. It is going to be a slow profit, but less risky.

And get wiped out? lol.

If youre saying you dont need a big amount, and you take 1 bad trade. And you cant start another buy order.. to attempt to make back or earn for that day due to bank roll then you cant continue trading..

0.01 = $8 dollars..

You can basically use any amount you want to start with trading. A lot people here don't have 1 BTC in their wallets. But yes, the more coins you have, the more profit you can make with trading. Very simple.

For traders, the objective is to make the trade a profitable as possible. It is good to start small and then growth. But when the amount is too small, the transaction fee and the exchange charges may eat into large portion of your profit.

So a trade must do his/her homework on which exchange services give them the best cost/profit ratio.

Most traders start with a small amount of money to trade to learn and experiment and when they are good at it thats when they put a lot of money in trading.
