As an investor I'd feel scammed if I invested in Waves and here is why. On the just released blog message you wrote;

This implies that there will be absolutely nothing special or unique about Waves tokens, so why the hell should I invest in buying them? To me it just feels like investors got to put in a lot of money buying worthless Waves tokens so you guys can make an innovative platform. Seems to me it's not worth it to invest, like I mentioned in my previous posts, you got to give Waves tokens functionality. If you refuse to do so, it's like investing in air, it's nothing, it has no intrinsic value or purpose other than funding you guys...

No, that passage you just quoted does not imply that there will be nothing special about Waves tokens. Just to the contrary, indeed. That passage explains what makes Waves tokens special and unique. As you have quoted, and I suppose you have read the paragraph you quoted, "Our killer feature is the ability to trade any token against another token on the blockchain (asset-to-asset)."

So explain to me what can I do with Waves tokens on the platform that I can't do with bitcoin, dogecoin or shitcoin? Because the text seems to clearly imply that bitcoin will have special functionality and all other crypto currencies on the platform (including Waves tokens) are equal.?

You can't really do anything without WAVES tokens, since everything is run using them - all tx fees, all asset issuance and transfer, everything.
We will support other "money" crypto besides Bitcoin too ( DASH, Litecoin and Dogecoin seem to be a good choice now), but obviously Bitcoin transfers will dominate (at least in near future)
What can we do for Bitcoin - we enable decentralized trading against bitcoin. so it's like decentralized bittrex!

Waves token is the fuel for the whole platform and all operations happening there. When you are doing any of the things mentioned above Waves token is used, when you will be trading with other crypto currencies or fiat which will be represented there as tokens, Waves token will be used, when you are transferring assets, Waves token is used, when you are withdrawing asset in form of currency to your wallet, Waves token is used. When someone is issuing the asset Waves token is used. When all other projects will be using Waves platform, the same Waves token will be used for all their operations. Other currencies will be just supported on the platform.

Can we please have a "John" &  "Jane" example of this asset-to-asset exchange and the use of WAVES to do this? Because to me it sounds more like just an exchange of assets. I fully understand their use on the crowdfunding platform. It's the asset-to-asset "exchange" or "swap" and the use of WAVES for this i can't wrap my brain around.

You can do asset-asset trading

I regarded it as the most import features that waves provide.
So asset price will not be influenced by price of wave token.

Qora had this feature and at one point I wanted to create a couple of peg currencies for Qora to USD, GBP and BTC.  After that, I wanted to setup, internal markets for assets that were virtual representations of real world commodities such as gold, silver, oil, LTC, DOGE, etc.  The idea was that I would you could take your Qora and buy the fiat asset at a floating spot-price, that was pegged based off of currency price APIs from various exchanges.  You could then use your virtual USD/GBP/BTC to buy commodity or alt-coin assets strictly with those assets, rather than the parent currency (Qora.)  This means that the price for Qora (or in this case, it would be Waze) could fluctuate but so long as a sub-market in the blockchain if valued off of a pegged asset (USD, BTC, etc.) the price of your investment was stabilized.

The only risk is trusting that the issuer will keep a trustworthy spread and not back out. But, even if the issuer disappeared, this wouldn't be a big deal if the markets were active, well established, and everyone already had tools in place to monitor real-world markets and move the markets on their own.

I didn't do this because of time and (honestly) regulations.  It's the price I pay for living in the US.

I will share my 2 cents suggestion regarding bounties.I will say there should be some deadline regarding social media campaign to make it attractive and transparent for early supporters.If I followed on twitter one week ago and other is joining at ICO launch should not be treated same way.This will make make it transparent.One possible way to finish joining social media bounties at start of ICO.

From my point of view, Nxt is one of the most decentralized scenario possible. Anonymous ICO and development. Built up with no (or not much) legal applicatiotion and real businesses. I think Nxt is for everybody that wants to use the Blockchain for something (data cloud, marketplace, voting system, monetary system, assets...). You have everything at once.
While when you concentrate your Blockchain on Assets, you can have a Blockchain that can be slim and fast, because it does not have to deal with all the other data on it.
