To anyone participating in this ICO: don't start whining that your funds are "locked up in this ICO" when for some reason the launch is delayed.
Shit happens, only invest if you are willing to accept that your BTC may be unaccessible for 1-6 months after the ICO.
At the Lisk ICO, many participants complain over a delay of just 3-4 weeks, while the launch date was never set in stone.
And there's risk involved with every new project / startup. You may lose (your) money if the team fails to deliver.
Only invest what you can afford to lose.
Very accurately said.

I was considering investing some money on 12th to get the 20% bonus but in this case it might not be a good deal.
With so much hype from ETH, Lisk and now Waves, it seems most people are not aware of how different those 3 projects are.
- ETH was in the making for couple years - Lisk is gonna use a Crypty base that was already tested for couple years - Waves is starting now and wants to launch the test net in the summer
All 3 seem valid to me, but i sure wont value them at the same price, that would be insane.
IF by any chance the investment in Waves ICO goes to ETH or Lisk levels, i think it will be VERY hard to justify the value. With such a long ICO there is a fair chance the ammount raised will be high.
It seems to me that it's best to loose the 20% bonus and only invest in the last day, when i have a better idea of how much was raised and how much will 1 wave cost.

I agree with you completely. Yup I mean if you get 10000 Bitcoin then your wave will be worth 0.001 BTC which will make it hard to get your ROI. right?

I agree with you completely. so do half day 1 and other half last day.....still get some bonus while minimizing mentioned risk and still invest full amount if desired results appear at end of ICO....

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011: "I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00. Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/" ...sigh. If only I knew.

Yes, nice story you have there... but you forgot to mention that we are investing in gravity waves, probably the coolest thing from star trek. Now we can go full warp speed, so we can dismiss the moon on this one, pretty sure we gonna reach Outpost 7 in Andromada galaxi, Maybe rendevous with some KLINGONS. Even Captain Kirk wishes he had the opportunity to get involved in the beginning of waves

I agree with you completely. I'm the opposite. I believe in this project enough to gamble on Day 1. Both strategies have their pro and cons.

85,000,000 in presale. Then 1k Bitcoin goes in = 1 Wave = 0.000117 BTC
So if you compare that to other coins with the same market its really a high price. I mean it would be a decent price if each wave was 0.00001 let alone 10 times that.
Is my maths correct?
