Question: What are the different advantages between $WAVES and $WCT as far the best strategy for investing and holding Waves longterm? I know I'm late to the Waves movement, but I feel that there's a future here, and not sure which would be more valuable for me to purchase. Any insight from some more experienced Waves users?

Honestly, just buy WAVES and hold them. If you buy now you'll receive WCT every month until September. And WAVES is going to hit $10 very soon, if the price keeps rising like this maybe by the end of the month. And $100 = 1 WAVE by the end of June is achievable when you look at the meteoric rise of Ethereum.

Congratulation. Wave investors . Wave has got a spectacular increase within 2 weeks .
Many investors got a big profit from this investment (nearly 150% increase) . That's a good result for wave.

$100 = waves by the end of june? that would be awesome. we'd get there but not really that fast. there will be dumps to waves too but the coming of all these ICO running under their platform will make it huge eventually. its the airdrop of the tokens that i'm interested the most.  Grin

what's the point of waves if there's already ethereum ?  Huh Huh

What's the point of Pepsi if we have Coke?  What is the point of Burger King if we have McDonalds?  Free markets are about competition - it keeps companies on their toes and encourages innovation.  Otherwise you end up with monopolies.

It just did! I'm buying more of it still  Cheesy
If the money keeps pouring into the cyrptocurrencies, we'd all be rich before this year end. DEX works well. I have moved my tokens there from tidex.

Once they are gone, they are gone.

Like every other coin, don't save your seed plain text on your computer, update your Windows, use a virusscanner, only use official software.
Did you store your seed somewhere plain text or in your mailbox?

Your Waves lite client doesn't store your coins.

You're computer was infected, hacked and/or your seed was stored plain text, etc.
Can't blame the client.

Where did you store your Waves seed (private key)?

It was stored in a password protected word doc. So I should change password for wave lite client? What should I do to prevent it from happening again? thanks!

Use a password manager at the very least.  I have never heard of anyone using a password protected word document.  I think 2FA would help to reduce these risks.

Now you have heard/read of someone using password protected word to store private keys.

How much did you lose?

Im very sorry for you loss, how much was stolen? These kind of things are happening way to often in crypto land, i think this is one of the things which could destroy this crypto movement going on right now.
Please tell us more information on this and i will share some advices on how to protect yourself in the future. My questions
1. Do you think somebody access your light client and hacked your password to the client or that they hacked your document and found your private key?
2. What Operating system do you use?
3. How long time have you had your computer since you did a fresh factory reset / reinstalled os and all files.
4. How and where was the document stored? Was is on a cloud service like google drive or locally on your computer? If it was on you computer what was the name of the folder and file it was stored in, and the path to the document?
5. What browser and how many extensions for that browser do you use?

Okay, so some advice on how to prevent this in the future.

1. When generating a wallet use a freshly installed computer or partition your hardrive and install a linux distro, for example Ubuntu. And only do crypto stuff from that partition, install as few programs as possible and limit browsing..... I didnt do this step and im getting more paranoid every day, probably i will in a few days and then transfer my founds to the new account generated on a fresh OS.
2. If you really want to store your private key digitally in a cloud or somewhere then hide it among other documents unrelated to crypt. For example, if you have many work/school documents in one folder called /school/ then make a copy of one of the documents there and rename the copy to for example history.docx, this history document should preferable contain many pages of text related to history. In the middle of the history document paste your encrypted (se step 3) backup info (private key and seed and stuff).
3. Make a system to encrypt your seed or private key before you store it in the word document. For example:
 1. If your seed is > hello apple father book kiss there hunger bag... than your system could be to switch places of 1st and 3 word, and of last and second to last word. The above seed that you would store in the document would then be > father apple hello book kiss there bag hunger
 2. Your private key > subtract one from the digit or character at position 1 4 and last, for example: f130fgv9 would be: e19fgv8
4. If you want to store long term on waves, then remove that newly create account from the light client.

If these steps are to much, then you are better of to store your waves on tidex or bittrex with 2fa enabled.
