if u click start mining u are mining for sure
u can check ur cpu in taskmanager and u will see nevacoin will eat 50-100% of cpu

Depends on your CPU. Also the network difficulty is pretty high right now. You should see a reward of 5 NEVAs in your wallet if you get lucky.

This mean someone more have staked at same time than you and his blocks was acepted before than your, it is happening to me too, it is because block time is small and there are a few people staking with similar quantity of coins
