Hope this coin wont be over runned by botnets ;(

Large scale botnets have little incentive to mine a new cryptocurrency and probably won't prevail for a while. While it is a possibility in the future, healthy amounts of legitimate miners will weaken their effect.

On the flip side, while botnets can suppress Neptunium's value and distribution, they help support and strengthen the network by mining. Viable botnets can exist for any ASIC resistant coins. Although we see botnets do mine other CryptoNight coins like Monero, it doesn't stop them from being successful.

Botnets are undesirable, and small scale botnets may appear in the future. However, I don't see Neptunium going through any botnet epidemics nor having a fatal effect on our coin. I obviously can't say for sure what will and won't happen, but that's my thoughts on it.

Any help?

One of my nodes has been receiving disconnect errors. I'll try to launch the 3rd node today and we'll see if the problem still persists.

Yep it does still exist, now it shows that the one node has seen recently:

Any way we see a CPU wallet for a Mac? I'd love to get in on this and mine tomorrow evening.

There won't be a wallet for OSX on release and I haven't worked with OSX, but it I'll definitely try to release for OSX in the future. The source will be on github, so you could try compiling it yourself.

I believe there's a cryptonight miner available for Mac. I've never used it so I can't offer much help, but you can try playing around with it on the testnet.

I've updated the Testnet and nodes! I've also added a GUI wallet for the Testnet.

Testnet CLI (With miner): https://github.com/neptuniumteam/Neptunium-Testnet/releases/tag/v0.2.0.1
Testnet GUI Wallet (Testnet Core): https://github.com/neptuniumteam/Neptunium-Testnet-Core/releases/tag/v0.2.0.1

We plan to release at 10:00PM EST today! I'd appreciate if you could test the wallet and report any bugs, problems, and/or missing dependencies, especially with Testnet Core. The old Testnet may work, but we recommend updating to the latest version to prevent any network instability.

Testnet GUI Wallet (Testnet Core) on windows 7 64 bits,
-missing msvcp120.dll
-missing msvcr120.dll

So i put these files on the neptunium.exe folder and got

-"This aplication failed to start because it could not find or load the QT platform plugin "windows". Reinstall the aplication may fix the problem."

just like in the previous launch, or i´m doing something wrong?

You have to assemble libraries are not enough. To use the automated build dependencies windeployqt.
Check out how to Use it

Everywallet that does that becomes a full node helping with sync of blockchain in other wallets

testnet no synchronization

For the testnet, you have to start the daemon in CLI tools first, since there's currently only one seed node running.

There will be 2-3 nodes on release.
