Without a block explorer this coin is dying a slow steady death. Even now it may be too late, if it gets on an exchange there may be zero interest since other cryptonote coins are far more developed than this one. Sad but true..

+1 on that one!

OK
then how to build block explorer, who can ?
any help or we can do ?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1389852.msg14588203#msg14588203

some time ago I saw some pages that made an host  cryptonote blockexplorer

or maybe just ask slb how much for making an explorer for you, after all is his code

There has already been people in the thread that said they can make one. Lulworm has already made an offer for one for 3000 NPT which the dev has the bounty for. All that needs to happen is that the dev and Lulworm needs to agree on the deal. A link to source code was also posted earlier in the thread.

I would like to give it a shot but is too far for me right now, it was myself who posted the link before xD
Ey I have some Neptuniums like 40 and I'm going to eliminate that wallet, do you want them? (free obviously)

I stopped building explorer some weeks ago because i didn't see the need for that since Dev isn't active and the project itself is inactive.
I bought a vps just for this purpose for a month and now it has expired some few days ago because there was no need renewing it. For the records, this is something to prove that i got it to work until i stopped working on it.

This data above is exactly whats displayed on a cryptonote block explorer and i was done with the RPC methods for the daemon. Which ever pools mined those blocks can confirm it's Neptunium data if they cross check with block height on their pool. All that is left to do now, is to parse this information on the webpage the explorer is up and running.

And for the records, I personally contacted the Dev. about a takeover but he insisted he will continue as the Dev, then made a post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1389852.msg14617449#msg14617449 saying anyone can help with development by developing his own functions towards Neptunium and reap all benefits, that was the last day he posted on Neptunium thread after a long time away and his pool is also dead. The thing is, who is willing to dedicate his time and efforts towards developing addons for a project that is not maintained and has no guarantee of surviving?

If just an explorer is able to put the entire project on hold to this extent, what do you think the future of this project is like? Getting an explorer and being on the Market is not all that it is to a cryptocurrency project, that's just the least of the challenges and this is the reason why most altcoins die even after getting listed on market.

you are wasting time mate, the dev is mia and the coin is practically dead, the diff is almost 1-2, no one care anymore about it, too bad it was a good cryptonight clone, but the support was lost too early, now it's irrecoverable no matter what you do i see plenty of similar cases, better to move on another good coin

I noticed it, forknoted wont even start with proposed neptunium config Smiley

If you will not finish it - it's wasted time and effort. Consider make it open source Cryptonote block explorer. Even in it's present state without front end - a library for json rpc daemon queries would be much appreciated. It is despite the destiny of Neptunium.

Generally cryptonote coins are much harder to implement for exchanges because they are not built on bitcoin libraries and take more resources to maintain. That's why they are only on major exchanges and only those succesful more or less.

Cryptonote devs did great job making starter pack allowing people to play around creating interesting coins but it is not finished - it needs ready to go tools like block explorer, merchant plugins or even small exchange platform - it is called 'dream big' Smiley

Forknote uses the same RPC calls as Cryptonote, the pool/block explorer should be viable. I'll experiment with in during the next few days.

Not quite. Look here: http://forknote.net/documentation/daemon/json-rpc-api/#fblockslistjson
Devs from Forknote made these calls especially for block explorer I suppose, and they are used in block explorer I mentioned:

f_get_blockchain_settings
f_blocks_list_json
f_block_json
f_transaction_json
