since i am indian and in india there is no practical way to spent btc . but i am using btc to spent at purse.io to purchase some gift card and purchase items .

I think we can not always rely on the online shop to buy things every day and we could not buy food and drinks online because of course

It will be popular but we cannot beat the popularity of the fiat, bitcoin will be widely use in the world but it would always be an alternate currency for online transactions to have comfort in transaction. Just don't expect to much as we are still in the early phase.

Buying an item online with bitcoins is not really that considered using bitcoin in real life.
I pretty very much believe op is thinking about purchasing physical goods onhand with bitcoins directly. But that is just not for everyone because not all countries have stores that accepts bitcoins just yet.

I heard starbucks on brazil alrady accepting bitcoin as payment.. and i think they dont need to wait for long time in confirmation while waiting for your coffee. the transaction right now is fast than before.. the hash rate is increased so i think it can help too to increase the transactions.
1 confirmation is enough like other gambling site here they are just waiting only for 1 confirmation unlike before they are waiting for 3 or more confirmation before it will credited in your balance..

Exactly and I don't think that now they will be waiting for even 1 confirmation, if they see incoming transaction in their wallet then its done, no need to wait for confirmation.
