I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend!

With that money I would start some little business at home probably, you can check on internet for some nice machine that can make toothpicks for example. If you wish to support bitcoins and bitcoin economy tey to purchase that machine with bitcoins, and later your products also for bitcoins. I believe that is the way for bitcoin to grow more. Now we have people from all over the world, and only thing that can make bitcoin grow more is usage of this currency.
Well if you didn't invest your money into something, think about this.

Almost exactly what i plan. mine is just a t shirt printing business that will also accept bitcoin. I probably just start small penetrating school campus market or maybe join the ETH community and sell them some shirts with ETH designs.  I saw someone doing this already but still the market is huge.

the risk is always following wherever we invest. but for me when choosing investments on altcoin and gambling, better choose altcoin. you can trade altcoin or investment in the project altcoin (ICO). risks can indeed be a scam. but you must be smart in choosing the coin, you have to see if they have a good project and some good support.

What would you recommend? Mining? Other crypto?

With that amount of money involve, you need to carefully evaluate the recommendation you will read in this forum because that is your money in the first place and you bear the losses in case you will not succeed in your investment. The only investment I can recommend on my part is just hold your bitcoins.

I advise you to split your $20k BTC between a range of possibilities. You could invest into altcoin mining then exchange the coins into BTC when the opportunity is very good. Besides exchanging and trading, you could put some into cloud mining, PTC, HYIP and RevShare. For me the most profitable from the possibilities that I tried was when started to accept BTC in my business. If you have a business already, you could earn BTC by accepting this form of payment ( which could be considered a kind of risk since it is different than fiat ) but $20k should be enough to start a completely new business, too.

I doubt that. Maybe there's so many scams going on here, but it doesn't mean that you can't trust anyone here. There are still some people that will give you a good suggestion, and you can trust them.

I think he should have to go for that investment only where he will have some experience before with someone and will have some knowledge about that field so that he will get the success at there and if he invest in that place about which he do not now then he will lose all that.

Our method should not be complicated so we can still do a lot of thing aside from bitcoin investing, I have a lot of jobs here so I prefer to hold my bitcoin as it does not need enough effort to manage my investment.

How can you say that it is the safest when there is a tendency for bitcoin to decline in price.  Anyway if you can earn bitcoin doing jobs and offering services then the reason to hold it is enough.  The problem is others just hold it and let the price increase which some of us think that it is the lazy way.  So they want to reap the reward of others hardwork of promoting Bitcoin by just buying and holding it without doing anything to help in  price increase.
