Actually we have problems in our oil consumption. We have limited supplies of oil and most people and industrial organization relies on the usage of oil so electric cars can be a good idea to minimize the usage of oil since oil is a non renewable resources, it takes long time to be recovered because it came from fossils which decay underground and it takes thousand or millions of years. If we use electric cars for a long period of time, it will buy time for oil to be recovered for the future generations. It will affect the oil industry but it sure it will help people around the world not only for oil usage but also it helps minimizing the polution dealt by smokes emitted by cars.

i think electric cars helps the oil company even more. We need oil to produce electricity but it will have more less profit for them unlike if we had gas cars instead of electric one's. But oil supplies are limited if we use it even more the world will be in danger. We need to be more efficient when it comes to natural resources. Natural resources are just limited and many of the natural resources are wasting by the other companies and government who have power.

I'm sure time will come that renewable energy is the main source our planet will use. Oil became very toxic in our earth.
