So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?

Good for them. I like the idea. Actually i’ve read it somewhere 2 years ago that there was a prediction that oil or gas, petrol or however you may want to call it is going to be out of use in the future. I mean will not be needed. Oil price sucks now you know and oil hosts are just getting richer and richer while their consumers are getting tighter and tigher. I would will this monopoly to just stop and be remedied.

Definitely. The oil industry's main purpose is to sell oil and actually dominate the automobile industry by providing it's energy which is oil. But now with electric cars becoming more popular, especially in the US and some EU countries, there is now a competition between the energy providers for automobile which are oil and electric. And if you look at it, electric cars are more efficient and effective but of course expensive cars. But sooner or later, they might find a way to reduce the cost of electric cars and dominate the industry. That is why it is a big threat to oil industry.

You know that cars are only part of a big market out there. Yes it will affect the demand but not so much a bigger part of the industry is still not electric yet like ships and airplanes which really need oil in there operations not to mentions other machineries need to work with oil as well. Also oil conglomerates can control the supply like what they have done before which they made the price go up. If the electric and renewable industry gets bigger it could mean trouble for them.

But in my opinion, the oil industry will not be effected much as the major part of the world is producing electricity from oil. If the electric cars take over, it means that more electricity demand will be there. So to overcome this demand, the best and swift solution is to produce the electricity from the oil. All the oil which was used by car, will be used by those production houses. Electric cars will effect but oil industry but not very much.

Cars that are run by electricity were discovered a long time ago and was just sabotaged by this oil owners and even water can be used to run cars so they know that it will affect oil industry if this will continue and I know that they are still doing their wicked schemes secretly.

Electric cars will only be bad for the oil industry as they kind of take away customers from them. This will result to oil industry being force to lower their price in order to attract customers.

Yes true, the electric car becomes a big threat to the oil industry because if the use of electric cars more massive of course no one wants to use oil and the oil will slowly die.

We all have different perspective through this topic , but your right electric cars been noticing these days, and through the internet or different social media I see electric cars and yep it become popular and popular. Through the oil industry isn't it good still it have a benefits though it can lessen the mining through the sea just to have oil, just to fill our cars and what so ever. But I think too the oil industry will be bankrupt in the future I guess. And it's bad to the oil industry , they will force to moved and replace the oil, and yep it is bad.

Maybe yes.But the thing is,cars are not the only one who uses gasoline,there also machineries that uses gasoline.Gasolines demand,will just be lessen due to use of electric cars,but will not totally lose it.And besides not all people chooses electric cars.Some people still uses cars that are gasoline powered.

I guess Oil Industry demand will be LOW because of this new electric cars that nowadays released. Too many machines need this OIL thing not only cars, only the demand will be lower a little bit.

Gasoline is used in used in other industries besides the cars. Moreover, the electric cars are not so popular yet. So, although the electric cars will probably harm to the oil industry for obvious reasons, I suspect that it wouldnt be so meaningful to destroy the industry or something like that.

No its very good for oil industries I think first of all electric cars are very good for environment because electric cars will keep environment keep clean and there will be no pollution which is very good for health and I think we can use this oil for some other work which still we did to use so it’s a very good idea that all the cars goes electric and especially in third world country electric cars can play a very great role there because oil is very expansive there.

By researching a designing electric cars we are investing in battery tech and electric engine technology. This can directly cross over into most other vehicles. Tesla have released their designs and prototype for a semi-truck. Electric is just the way to go. The oil industry will die a slow death though as we will still continue using it. Since vehicles are the largest group in the industry that uses oil, I think with the rise of the electric cars can seriously affect the oil industry. By this time, there are not only cars are becoming electric but also a motorcycle and even jeepney in the Philippines. I also heard about the e-bike or electronic as a replacement for a tricycle. Well anyway, I like the idea about electric vehicle. First of all less pollution, and less expenses I think since oil has a very high price in my country.

The demand for oil will be lessen but not too much because by this time, there are lot of people who cannot afford to buy electric vehicle so the tendency now is they will still use the vehicle that uses oil. But with the demand lessen oil price will go down too, something good to my ear.

Electronic cigarettes have begun to lose popularity, and many people are trying to sell their own electronic cigarettes. In fact, electronic cigarettes have become a very big sector, but their popularity has been on the short end. But I can not say the same thing for cars.

No electric cars are helping us improve our environment, it makes our lives better, though it hinders the growth of the Oil-Gas industry. But it still positively affects our lives and the Oil-Gas is not eternal.
