Bitcoin halving if it affects other alts will affect gamebet also to some extent. BUT the stupid thing is GBT is a Bitcoin backed asset, ie the profits of the site which are in Bitcoin back it....so it's silly of it did lower its value....but traders are emotional creatures. This is the beauty of gamebet, it's bascially one of the only coins that have tangible backing so it's can never really die or become worthless as long as gamebet is making some dough. ironically is actually got more backing therefore than Bitcoin. IF Bitcoin went to 1dollar then the site would earn multiples more of Bitcoin....kind of cool how solid it is as an asset really.....long term it's a coin that will be around unlike 99% of alts.


I'm still wondering what else the community can dream up for its use....particularly in the area of gaming say on other sites. Potential to be used for steam game paymnet for example....

The project is alive and well! I apologize for the lack of communication in the last few days and this was mainly due to my absence. CryptoDev (Discord name) and Xypher filled in for maintaining updates (as well as holding the regular Discord meeting on the 15th), while I was gone. With that said, we’re here with some updates for you guys.

New Beta Site, Timeline, etc.
The plan is to release the beta for the new site on the first. The site is still undergoing active development and when we release it on the 1st of June it will continue to be developed as we have plenty of things we’re continuing to work on. It is important to note that we noticed it was incorrectly stated that this new content would be released in late May by a non-dev post please note that the new UI will be public after the 1st of June, as well as this will mark the beginning of the first cycle and major marketing (which has already begun).

Partnerships - Crypto
Currently, we’re looking to open dialog to any existing coins as well as potential new coins that will be started in the near future who have similar interests to ours (gaming, esports, gambling, etc). We encourage anyone who is interested in working with us to reach out to our business email (business@gamebet.gg) and tell us about yourself!

Partnerships - Esports
Likewise, we are looking to begin sponsorship and partnership with esports organizations. We are looking for established organizations who have prominent influence over media services such as Twitch, Twitter and Youtube. We’re looking into setting up a TS3 server as an alternative to Discord as TS3 is another well established form of VOIP in the world of gaming. This will prominently be used by players on our various servers we’re looking into setting up. Currently, we’re looking into setting up a CSGO 1v1 server as it is the most popular game mode outside of competitive play. Continuing to set up servers will allow us to further establish our brand. Our Ark servers are continuing to maintain steady population and we will look into monetizing them in the near future.

i believe he is correct. Gamebet won a vote to be the next coin listed but some problem with it being gambling related and Bittrex being a US based exchange meant they asked for 5,000 dollars for extra paperwork and bother they would have to go through....
