Interesting ideas but nothing concrete here.
Which skills?
Great question. I do not have the answer for everyone. For one person they may only be able to learn the skill of flipping hamburgers (which is in demand somewhere). Others may be able to learn more advanced skills.
Here is a top 25 skills of 2016 for those with brains in their head: http://blog.linkedin.com/2016/01/12/the-25-skills-that-can-get-you-hired-in-2016/

I'd just like to thank Elwar for that link. I realize it may not have taken much to search for it myself had I thought to, but when one has over a hundred tabs open researching dozens of different things, it's nice to get conveniently pointed in the right direction. The article in that blog link doesn't just list 25 skills that are popular with employers, it also offers resources to learn them, so it's really quite helpful if anyone wants to pursue that. Elwar's comment that you can just google it is also still valid.

That said, I do wonder how feasible it is to try and earn Bitcoins by doing jobs like programming if you're not already an expert? Is it even possible for newcomers who go through the effort to learn these skills to compete with existing Bitcoin veterans for those jobs? How much expertise in a programming language does one need before they can reasonably start applying them?

(If my questions would be better served in a new thread, please let me know. I'm still getting used to how things work here)
I don't think learning a skill like programming would help you get Bitcoins especially now in 2016. There are a lot of programmers and coders out there(especially Indians) who can do the job right for cents. They are efficient and provide good quality programmes/codes as well. So, unless you can compete with that price and make a reasonably good/accurate codes, I advise you to stay away from programming. Maybe you can try graphics designing.

You said a true. All those freelancer jobs I see on sites everywhere there are persons offering their services for $1 dollar or less! Too many people trying to do the same thing related to informatic jobs.
Who really wants to make profit must find a smart way to do it, and can't say to others the way, or many persons will want to do the same thing.

Today i am trading altcoins and it is very hard for making bitcoins  Grin but i will try to mining using GPU hardware, i will try other ways for making bitcoins although will be hard.

I hear this a lot of times in the community that mining is not profitable anymore because the profit you might get from it will go in the cost of your electricity, so the only case that can generate you some profits that your electricity should be too cheap or free, otherwise it would just be a waste of time.

There's no much ways to do money, you can't find new ways.

The people that offer a service for a cheap price are actually killing the profession, btw none of this guys are professional, they are there just to make the things hard for the pros. Well, you pay for what you want, cheap = low quality.

Yes I also mostly use bitcoin for trading alt coin, although there are so many other ways of making money as you can make money from signature campaign, but signature campaign income is enough for pocket money only, you can also make money in gambling but if you are a lucky person and having good skill of gambling,

Trading altcoins without the right knowledge is a very risky endeavor especially since some coins are there to generate profits only for the developers and some early speculators.

If that what he is experience the way he trade. Then there is something wrong for his strategy, learn to study more.

For many of us here are making trading alt coins as one of the best way to make bitcoins and if you are planning to make your own mining rig.

Make sure that your decision is final for you can't easily recover the money you will use for investing into that rig and make sure your electricity there is cheap.

Maybe if you discovered Bitcoin 4 years ago this would apply and make you a billionaire, but for now the price of Bitcoin is now on the 700$ mark which is pretty high and you will profit less if you convert your Fiat to BTC right now, while there are other great investments such as the stock market which you can pick a variety of stocks in which you can buy. I hope this would help.

I think even though it is now not too late, if we buying and investment bitcoin now, then its price will go up in 4 years again. If 4 years ago the price of bitcoin is still under $50, and then up 15 times, then 4 more years could also be up 10 times or $7500. I tihnk this is not imposible.

The price is still "low" and can still buy unleast one or try to get as many as possible untill the price jumps a lot higher in the next few years or so....

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

yes its right especially on this moment because we can see that almost all altcoin have get down in price and for me, its really hard too to make profit like before but i am sure that this moment will be end soon and the altcoin will be back again.

if you have bitcoin in your wallet, i think you can trying to lending your bitcoin to make profit, although the profit is not good enough for you, but you can still make a small profit and in the end, you are make money.

And you hope the bitcoin will drop any sooner. I do not want that to happen as I have bigger interest with bitcoin than in alts. I do invest with all but I will be profitable if bitcoin will rise than alts.

I think it depends on which country you live in, because sometimes in a country subscription price of electricity cheap enough, if the cost of electricity usage cost maybe you could use a mining, to generate a bitcoin

Thats right just the electricity is the problem. Solar panels maybe the key for the electricity problem. But still trading altcoins is more profitable on making bitcoins.
Mining needs time but dont need much effort. Trading needs effort but not so much time it is all depends on you lifestyle on how you can earn many bitcoins

Mining nowadays is not good for individual businessman, you need to have a decent amount of capital for the mining rig and everything will just follow. You can compute your earnings per month considering paying of your electricity expenses and other necessary things will just come in a monthly basis.

But I tell you, live it for the big companies, there's more easier way which is more profitable which is trading.

There are lot of ways through which you can earn bitcoin. Like the thread owner already pointed out 3 areas where you can earn good amount of bitcoins from your home computer. I totally agree with the first point. If you are good in programming or web designing, then you can earn a lot of bitcoins by providing service over internet.

Also there is one more way you can earn a lot of bitcoin, is the trading. Yes, if you trade using bitcoin, then you can earn a lot of money. But don't try to take much risk and always learn trading before you actually start doing that live.

Lending is more riskier than trading , lending is same like gambling IMO if the borrower will keep their promises they will repaid the loan on time but if not they will run away with your money and lose it . Lending is no the way to get bitcoin choose other way instead.

Today i am trading altcoins and it is very hard for making bitcoins  Grin but i will try to mining using GPU hardware, i will try other ways for making bitcoins although will be hard.
Trading altcoins without the right knowledge is a very risky endeavor especially since some coins are there to generate profits only for the developers and some early speculators.

yes its right especially on this moment because we can see that almost all altcoin have get down in price and for me, its really hard too to make profit like before but i am sure that this moment will be end soon and the altcoin will be back again.

if you have bitcoin in your wallet, i think you can trying to lending your bitcoin to make profit, although the profit is not good enough for you, but you can still make a small profit and in the end, you are make money.
When bitcoin is doing great than it is no wonder the alts are not doing as well, a strong and bullish bitcoins means weaker and bearish altcoins.

Trading without a sound knowledge is really too much risky, but if you have a little knowledge about a alt coin then you can really make good money from trading in alt coin, if you have some good experience in online gambling then you can also make good money in gambling, but gambling is more risky than trading.
