The reddit webpage that announces tipping  will be nice when android app will be ready. Any hope for ledger app? Is wallet 2.5.1 ready for windows? Cheers everyone

Hi Vauhoa!

Thanks for your thoughts  Smiley can I give you some updates?  There is a fully upgraded & hardened windows wallet being released this Sunday, March 18 (release Trilby).  We have been redeveloping and testing the wallet for several months now and using in pre-release pilot mode.  It's really fast and highly secure.

A brand new Linux wallet will be coming in April, and a Mac wallet in May.  More excitingly, later this year we'll be releasing a mobile wallet for both Android and IOS. The mobile wallet will include some cool new features to help spread Tips around the community.

Check & subscribe to the new twitter (https://twitter.com/FedoraTipscoin) and reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/FedoraTipsCoin/) which we are updating pretty often.

We've also just launched an airdrop - registration details can be found here: https://twitter.com/FedoraTipscoin/status/974179095721295873

It may be better to make a fork by reducing the number of coins by 1000 times (as paccoin) and, accordingly, to crop the database of the blockchain?

I think no need to fork or reducing the coin numbers. The number make TIPS easier to count rather in many number behind zero
although TIPS already few years old but the blockchain still low space

Reducing the number of coins would have made it more comfortable to trade in BTC pair

Hi Sania,

Thanks for your thoughts, but I think Thiec is correct here.  We don't want to mess with people's crypto savings or the amounts that they own.  The best thing is for us to grow the value of Tips so that it can easily trade with Bitcoin - I think that is easily possible when people see the value of the Fedora project and our plans for making it better.  Check out the new roadmap on the website, happy to keep chatting Smiley

Even with huge supply, some low sat value should be possible.

That would not be desirable for those of us who have patiently held our coins and kept the faith since the beginning.

The OP of this forum REALLY needs to be updated, it sucks and the info is way out of date.

Hi R-J-F,

You're right, it totally needs an update.  Those of us involved in the Fedora reboot are updating/refreshing a lot of channels, but we're also mindful of the original communities that we are interacting with as well as the emerging communities.

The Bitcointalk forums are probably the most active in terms of legacy community, and we are aware of that and who came before us.  Plus the fact that there's two active Fedora threads complicates things!

So our approach at present is to interleave our dialog with the already existing dialogs and not attempt to wholesale co-opt what's taking place.  The hope is that from this the nexus of a larger community will emerge (hopefully in the near term!) at which point either an updated OP or a new thread will be natural progression.

Hope that makes sense! Please shout out if not Smiley

Understood. I didn't mean to come across rude but, I see a lot of these revivals make the mistake of ignoring BCT. It might not be all pretty and new but, it's usually the first place newbies land. Keep up the good work!

Hi Crptoid,

Thanks so much for your feedback!

PS shout out to everyone - gate.io has been publicised for tips/ether trading, but their withdrawals aren't working!! It's safer to use coinexchange.

Gate.io is actually the old Bter rebranded. There is some long history there which many long standing Fedora community might be aware of
