IT IS A SHAME IF HE DOES NOT PAY, this business model is a pioneer for btc and it is sad for community if he goes down
and flees with the btc.
He has said there has been an investment problem i hope that has happened and that he will go and pay everyone out eventually.

If he does i can relax and we can all relax, if not it will be sad.

I am still working on finding bit's identity, however, I realized why there are so many people with his signature at bitcointalk.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303230.560

You guys need to start posting on that thread, letting people know what has been happening here. He is paying them for their signatures PER POST! This is YOUR money!

I believe I have identified Bit365.

However, I would like a few people to hear my theory and look at some links. I would like this to be collaborative, not unilateral. Also, because I don't want to implicate someone innocent -- that would be shitty karma.

[I believe that Bit365 broke NOT one BUT two rules! The first is about sports betting. But the second is a rule about the bitcoin itself: Just because you can rip someone off, doesn't mean you should. The peer-to-peer nature of it, and Bit365's abuse thereof has really piqued my sense of justice, both as a bettor and as an agorist.]

So, send me a bet slip that is over a week old, plus the minimum payment in BTC to show me that you control this account (I can think of no other way to exclude agents of Bit365; If you can, let me know), and I will PM you my links and why I believe that this is our guy.

Again, I don't want your BTC; I only want to be sure I am not working with agents of Bit365.

I have spent several hours, and I believe that I have made progress.

I placed my first bet with this site a few hours ago and found this thread just now. Is no one receiving payouts for the games they've been betting on?

Important update on status of payouts:

We realize many of you are panicking and I am here to update everyone on the current status of payouts and hopefully ease some tensions.

As you know, about one month we realized investments were calculating the wrong profit amounts. While fixing this issue over the next two weeks, the large number of cash out requests while this was on going quickly tapped out the small amount of BTC kept in our hot wallets.

What you do not know, is when we went to recover the majority of site funds from the thousands of addresses in cold storage, we were unable to recover the wallet files. In hindsight, it was a bad idea to not let everyone know about this at the time, but we did not want everyone to think their BTC was gone forever.

Over the past few weeks we worked on recovering the wallets hoping that this problem could resolve itself quickly. Days and weeks went by and we were still unsuccessful and users became much more impatient waiting for their payouts. However, I am happy to announce that we have now recovered one wallet, and it looks like we will be able to recover all of them.

Payouts will now be resuming and as more BTC is recovered all pending bets and investments will be sent out. We will be going through the list of missing payouts, or you can PM us the info and we will make sure it is processed asap.

BitcoinSports never was, is, or ever will be a scam. We will never run with your funds. We would not continue to update everyone if we did not have every intention of making good. We will continue to keep everyone updated about this at a much more frequent rate. We apologize for the lack of communication, it has been a stressful time for our users and our staff while we resolved this and we thank you for your patience.

I have one response to this: PROVE IT!  www.bitcoinsports.eu/bet/efd92  it's ~5.5 BTC and I will post that it's been paid happily when it's in my wallet.  I just emailed you, and pm'd you right now so you can get it resolved and we can get your site back to how it used to be!

Coinsy,

I believe I can sum up. For many, many months, Bit365's site was just about the perfect place to gamble in BTC. Sometimes payouts were 3 mins, sometimes 3 days but always eventually.

When the bitcoin went up to $1,000, suddenly there were mysterious problems with liquidity. We received two explanations, but the larger bets were not paid; and he kept advertising money flowing, to the ire of many (myself included). Look at some of the outstanding bets: https://etherpad.mozilla.org/MZ3eG4apz2.

Since then, there have been just enough excuses/explanations for him to squeeze by. Yesterday's response is not so much about the outstanding bets as it is about fear of having his identity revealed. CovertOps is correct: Bit365 must "PROVE IT."

Covertops,

The point of doxing someone is to be able to contact him in a less-ignorable way. He can (and does) ignore his PM's, as well as his gmail/hushmail. Would he be so easily able to ignore you if you sent him a text message, left him a voicemail, or sent him a postcard or letter in the snail mail? I doubt it.

I'm working on a document is one step forward in this process. And you'll notice that even my promise of releasing his identity to people to whom he owes money has effected a response by Bit365 -- so in a way, it's already worked!

Yes I know.  If I were that 40 btc guy or 26 btc guy I would have already hired an investigator and then hired somebody to "recover" my investment for me.

Ok, a handful of people PM'ed me and I reviewed my information, and I believe that it's not yet a slam dunk. There's more work to be done. I've assured bit365 that I will continue until it is completed and that it would be arrogance on his part to doubt this.  And I believe he understands this. It is a check-and-balance of power in this community.

I have encouraged Bit365 to work it out, even on an individual basis if possible. If he PM's you, try to be flexible at this point, as we all have lost bitcoins before. (I'm not saying it's what happened, but it's possible.)

Nobody wants to see his site fade away -- in fact, quite the opposite -- there was no "bettor" place on the web! (bit365, feel free to use that). We all want this situation to be resolved so that our sports betting can continue unimpeded, myself included. I can't place a bet until this thing is resolved.

I will have his identity locked-down by February 1, 2014. I am actually going to write some software to assist me. He has until January 31st to come to individual agreements, if not payouts.

If people are still interested in his identity on February 1, 2014, I WILL GIVE IT TO THEM.
