Ways on how to get the password of a user or of an account :

Dictionary Attacks
Bruteforce
Keylogger
Cookies of your websites and etc

So becareful of what your doing, Click at your own risk !

don't make me laugh dictionary attacks and brute force ,are you serious. it will take ages to get into, even with a super computer if you have a good password and everyone does use a strong pass for sure, the other two .keylogger ,malware and cookie hijacks are a reality and it is the easiest way to get into anyone's privacy  Wink

Youd be surprised how many set no password at all. I dont think everyone uses a strong password and some wallets are badly defended against brute force attacks as well.
I think that's not true, because if we use wallet stricken by malware (keylogger) surely they can easily into our wallets and take all the existing funds in the wallet. Because malware (keylogger) is widely used for something negative. For example my Blockhain wallet, once exposed to hack and they do backup all my Bitcoin addres to the wallet, but they haven't had time to take my Bitcoin.

Just come it to my mind. is it possible? to get hook into your wallet and send some to another wallet? Undecided

I don't know if you have seen but last months i have seen that many people were infected by a virus or malware which when people wanted to make a transaction the pasted address was always the hackers address so people were sending accidentally money to the hacker.

Well its the first time i see someone talking about some malware virus that affects the adress where we wanna to send the bitcoins, besides those i believe currently there is no way to hack bitcoin, since the hash protects the network.
Believe it or not, those malware exist, basically the malware will change the address whenever it detect that we are copying someone's address
When that happen the virus will alter your clipboard and change it to his address
That's why you need to always double check and make sure the address is right and not being altered by any mean Wink
I got this virus once and luckily I checked the address first Roll Eyes

That has nothing to do with what I just wrote. I am talking about wallet files and weak passwords. You talk about keyloggers (in which case the strength of the password does not matter).

btw if you are talking about blockchain.info, say so, there is no single "blockchain wallet", all bitcoin wallets use the blockchain.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

It is possible for anybody to make up any private key. It is just very unlikely, so unlikely that it has never happened and most likely will never happen.
Are you saying it is possible to make private key? i think you should have used impossible word in place of that possible word.
No it is not easy to just hack others bitcoin wallet, not even online wallet like blockchain.info

That is always possible, not is 100% sure. Don't kkep all your Bitcoins just in one wallet and make sure you have all security measures done. Some cold wallet is good solution

I have heard of the others, but what is this cookie hijack about?
it is simply source routing IP packets, if you have'nt heard about it, no worries , internet is a place to study new things  Smiley

that is silly, if they are serious and have a good amount of BTC i am sure they will lock it up ,if not its simply a recipe for disaster . have't done any testing in a long time, so dont know about all the wallets . if anyone is serious about collecting BTC ,better have a good encryption and find a good wallet.

currently it is not possible to hack bitcoin unless someone got the details of it but nothing is unhackable so maybe it can be hacked in future because as technology is increasing more methods are coming out

When it comes to hacking, yes it is somehow possible only when the person gets your private key of the address you have stored your coins upon...
Else, it ain't easily possible as the system is too secure, except if your so-called wallet is on an exchange...

The argument is that its more likely to lose bitcoin because of a lost password than it is because of a hack. This might be true for some people, but those are usually also good a remembering passwords.

I have heard that one way that they can get your bitcoins from your wallet if you download a client with redirecting code that the deposits go to their wallet instead. So everything is cloaked but it shows as being received. Is this possible now?

Yes of course it is. If you have an easy to crack password you can kiss your coins goodbye, because sooner or later someone is going to steal them!

Correct. Like they say put it in many baskets. Blockchain got a good idea of password recovery where there are so many words that should be written before geeting back your account I think thatbis one good step for anti theft.

Yes of course it is. If you have an easy to crack password you can kiss your coins goodbye, because sooner or later someone is going to steal them!

If you take any means of caution, noone is going to steal them, so don't mislead people into thinking it's something that's not avoidable.
If you don't trust your coins to be on an online computer, just make a paper wallet and keep it in a safe place.

It's possible to hack anything the only questions are how difficult it is and how much time it would take to do it.  Make it too difficult or take too much time to be worth the effort and it most likely wont get hacked.  Best solution is to keep the bulk in cold storage off the internet.

No, you won't be able to do that because the ledger is decentralized... The data is distributed and hacking your own copy will make it invalid. This is the beauty of distributed, decentralized blockchain.

Thanks for the inputs, i think they cannot hack today but maybe in the feature there's a chance.
And were going to have another kind of latest digital currency. Maybe this is the circulation of hacking and digital currency world. Hmmm
