Just come it to my mind. is it possible? to get hook into your wallet and send some to another wallet? Undecided

If the question is: can someone get your btc if they hack into your wallet, the answer is yes. But that's the same thing than for a bank account you know?

Yeah, wallets can be hacked. It is the users responsibility to protect their login credentials and their keys. This can happen to anything online.  But as far as I know, the bitcoin system itself is still unhackable.

It is, but not likely. Bitcoin's programming is what really makes it such a strong medium.

It is, but not likely. Bitcoin's programming is what really makes it such a strong medium.

If it is programming then another programmer can unlock it or get in it. Plus, there are many geniuses now that have very high skills regarding computers and many more stuffs. It wont be that hard for a person with a lot of knowledge regarding this.

It is very possible to hack your bitcoin account many hacker try and practice to do it. No system is safe even though it has many security features it cam be crack. And also dont click on shorten links it maybe a phising site were if u log in ur id info and pass it well send to their number or email. Thats other way of being wallet is hackable.
if we talk about possibility to hack bitcoin wallet, its of course have any possibility to hack it,nothing perfect system in this world, but also its not easy to hack bitcoin wallet,so far i dont see any system failure that can break by hacker,i just hear bitcoin wallet hacked because human or user mistake,as you said user mistake come from they who not carefully click and open any link or phising trap.

It has been happening for some years now. So yes, it's definitely possible. If your system gets infected, then the one operating the virus can basically tell your wallet/PC what to do and steal your coins by sending them to his own wallet. If you use a strong password for your wallet, then this will not happen to you.

Yes it's possible.

Let's take an example about web wallets, some shitpeople makes phishing site and it's really present in some of the banners and ads today in some of the famous sites. It's actively seen too in some of the PTC ads today.

So if you really want to have your coins really secure, take it away from the crypto world if you know what I mean.

Ways on how to get the password of a user or of an account :

Dictionary Attacks
Bruteforce
Keylogger
Cookies of your websites and etc

So becareful of what your doing, Click at your own risk !

don't make me laugh dictionary attacks and brute force ,are you serious. it will take ages to get into, even with a super computer if you have a good password and everyone does use a strong pass for sure, the other two .keylogger ,malware and cookie hijacks are a reality and it is the easiest way to get into anyone's privacy  Wink

Youd be surprised how many set no password at all. I dont think everyone uses a strong password and some wallets are badly defended against brute force attacks as well.

yes, in fact someone broke my pass on gmail, and i can assure you that it was a strong password with plenty of different characters and upper case etc, i'm lucky that i have the 2fa

so is definitely possible to brute force a password

that is silly, if they are serious and have a good amount of BTC i am sure they will lock it up ,if not its simply a recipe for disaster . have't done any testing in a long time, so dont know about all the wallets . if anyone is serious about collecting BTC ,better have a good encryption and find a good wallet.

The argument is that its more likely to lose bitcoin because of a lost password than it is because of a hack. This might be true for some people, but those are usually also good a remembering passwords.

this is true, as i don't remember the password of my first core wallet, tried recovering but of no use and i left that, this is the most common mistake ,people starting out in core wallet usually have these issues.

Bitcoin isn't hackable (ATM). These aren't hacks on Bitcoin, but rather hacks on particular users and their software (OS).

Let's take an example about web wallets, some shitpeople makes phishing site and it's really present in some of the banners and ads today in some of the famous sites. It's actively seen too in some of the PTC ads today.
Such theft happens due to human error, most does.

The argument is that its more likely to lose bitcoin because of a lost password than it is because of a hack. This might be true for some people, but those are usually also good a remembering passwords.

It solely depends on the person itself as shorena said. I remember my 30+ character passwords just fine and have been doing so for years (my wallet is no exception).

There's a difference though. When your bank account is hacked you will get reimbursed for the amount removed.

yes this is your own mistake. We can call this as human mistakes. Sometimes the software can be hacked. But sure, it is impossible to hack your bitcoin from your wallet.

The problem isn't bitcoin, the big problem are the users, some of them not take care of its wallet passwords or don't use encryption. Using cold wallets no one will hack your bitcoins, but if you use a wallet on a computer infected and connected to internet, its possible to stole your bitcoins.

I second that motion. Actually if the users are not careful of entering other websites or even hiding it somewhere else. It can easily hack by the other users. There's a lot of thing to do on how to hacked your accounts / wallet address. We should aware of that.
