Lightning Network which isn't even bitcoin but a very complex new network of multi-layers, isn't going to be working for another two years, if at all.

it isnt needed right now.... would be good but scalability is a future problem of bitcoin, we still ok with that.
you talk about things that might be a problem in the future to justify a bitcoin's death right now.

The bitcoin is not dead at all, I do not know why people are saying this because its just so not true at all, the bitcoin even has a great future a head these days.
I think that we can expect good prices for the bitcoin and that its very far from dead, its getting more popular too.

The only crypto currency that can live forever is just bitcoin and not any other bitcoin clones. Bitcoin network have really high community support making it immune to all types of attacks so bitcoin don't gonna die for sure.

I wonder, how many times people have killed bitcoin? Bitcoin has some problems there is no doubt about that but to claim that is death when nothing is even close to replace it or even threaten the existence of bitcoin seems a stretch.

Large groups of well paid, organized, funded professionals with clear objectives and good management - (like R3, hyperledger, ethereum, others) are sure making those Core programmers look like the silly little whiny bitches that they are.  Core is going NOWHERE and getting there pretty damn fast.  Meanwhile, very sophisticated advance is being done every day in other part of crypto/blockchain.

This is 100% the end of bitcoin as we know it.  Good thing too.  This 'open source', 'no leadership', 'no organization' thing was always a load of bullshit.

I think this would not be a problem for bitcoin users cause there are many news like that, that is popping all over the net and no one really cares and bitcoin still continue as it is and has been never the same, even if there are news about stealing billion and billion of bitcoins all around bitcoin still managed to get up and continue what is started to come up in values!

I see some % of price drop is not a end of bitcoin or even if price of bitcoin goes to $1 but have few supporters running bitcoin nodes and few miners still confirming transaction bitcoin will be considered as healthy and alive. So price of bitcoin may get fluctuated over time but bitcoin network will remain as strong as it is right now for next many years.

They can never shutdown bitcoin or make it disappear like that. Bitcoin network is now becoming more bigger and more complex because many people are now adopting bitcoin in different ways. Bitcoin right now is in it's success in it's first step to help us to make a brighter future. Every day that passed by many investors and buyers of bitcoin are increasing that is why it is really impossible for someone to completely shut it down for good, there would be a war in the virtual would in case this thing is going to happen in the near future. But for now let's just keep on believing in bitcoin.

Yes and if price falls to $100 then we can consider that now bitcoin will not survive longer but at a moment we are sitting on a descent price level and there is no possibility that it will die.

If the bitcoin price drops to $100, it means there will be a big flaw in the bitcoin, the price will drop further.

I think there are many people, especialy from the financial area, who would like that Bitcoin falls and vanish from the scene. But this is not going to happen, you can't stop the future. Bitcoin is very well established so far and can't just "die" over night. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are the future and pumps and dumps in price are normal and they will not destroy the Bitcoin network.

Yes as long as bitcoin has some value to some people, a user base will remain and keep using bitcoin for their trades, desires and needs, is that simple.

It already died bro.  Just because it still has value due to lingering speculative idiots, the network is broken without any reasonable scaling solution.

There is a stalemate for two years now where one party Blockstream wants to rig up an alt to replace bitcoin so their proprietary system gets going.  While the otherside big blockers want to scale on chain.  But, Blockstream controls commit access and decides what goes in the next version of software.

The system is dead. Just because morons pay $600 - doesn't somehow mean the software is functional.  The software is fucked.  Bitcoin is dead.  Died a long time ago.

Hehe dead and alive. good stuff since dead ones live longer

It s really dead, if the 21Mio limit falls and node + miner count = 21

Maybe the people which are always spreading rumors about the death of bitcoin are the owners of other currencies and they want to get bitcoin down as they are jealous of it, but they should not do this as bitcoin is the reason why other coins are being traded or used right now.

Exactly right only the bitcoin haters or the frustated one just keep saying bitcoin is dead.May be those say who bought bitcoin and after that bitcoin price has increased and they faced the loss and without any patience they say things like that and just talk nonsense about the bitcoins.

Bitcoin has a substantial increased of its value this year so I do not think  it is dead, people who are saying that bitcoin is dead is either those people who does not know bitcoin or maybe they have a bad experience putting their money in HYIP or scam investments.
