I personally believe that Bitcoin now is reaching a stage where more and more lay people are interested in earning it and also holding it like an investment, as they would hold metals and bullion. I think it is here to stay for a few generations at least.
It seems that it might be increasing in price. Keeping Bitcoin as a investment might not be a good idea, though holding at least a single Bitcoin could be a wise choice. If nobody would invest in it and we all would just buy 1BTC and held it there, it would die the next second. In order to increase the price, we need to use it. We have to show that we're interested in it, and the price will increase. Investing in anything can be a bad idea, not just Bitcoin. It's all about the luck you've got. You can turn your small investment into hundreds of thousands if that's what you deserved. It not all about luck, but about how useful and solid your investment is, right now bitcoin seem pretty solid to me are there risk? Yes, but the same can be said about anything. Everywhere risk is there. Something without risk won't be much effective as well people won't have a good response towards it. But depending upon the risk involved users get good earning which sustain. Also the digitalized way of investment makes it easier to access on the move. To say the truth, I don't see a high risk on BTCs. The coin is going very well since some years ago and won't be now it will "die" or lose all its value. The real risk starts when you try to invest your Bitcoins in unknown sites on the internet. But if you just keep your coins safe on the wallet, no problem, I would say 99% chance of certain safe profit. There are always risks, the technology is solid that is true, but there is the possibility of maybe worldwide ban of bitcoin if banks and governments begin to see a surge in adoption, and that is just one scenario. I think that if there were an attempted world wide ban on bitcoin, then the value of bitcoin would increase....much like the affect banning alcohol had in the prohibition days in the United States. The government cannot stop bitcoin as long as there are those willing to use it as a means of exchange. It's way too hard to carry a significant amount of cash around for bitcoin not to be considered as a convenient alternative delivery system.

Since the begining bitcoin has made enemies, as it made sucess, taking that into consideration there are several paid news that the only purpose were to hit and make bitcoin interest decrease, and we all know and see crypto world is getting more and more investment, there is no way to control or stop crypto world.

Talking about dead Bitcoin is like talking abut that Internet can collapse. As internet is pushing out from market newspapers and television, Bitcoin will slowly replace physical money, and it is unavoidable!

Safety might not be 99% in investments with bitcoin as every coin has two sides, but for sure there is not chance of it to die just like that, it has been around from years now and it would probably not just disappear or drop down its price drastically and if that happens there would probably be a huge reason behind it. I agree the 99% you are saying that bitcoin investments are safe is hard to believe because most of the investments doesn't have percentage and assurance that you are going to get good profit. And with these people who are saying that bitcoin is going to be dead is really putting some fear in those believers of bitcoin, like us. lol . maybe they are just seeking for attention or just want to make a non-sense topic how come the bitcoin will die if it's still going well and the mining is still ongoing as well as the price is still continuing to move higher so how can we say that these will be going to die

I personally have shared this opinion before, I think, but the problem with a worldwide ban will be that adoption among the average people will plummet like a rock and bitcoin will become a niche kind of thing.

I don't know as of now if bitcoin will replace the physical money but many are haters of something if they sees that it is having a good current situation. But the fact that bitcoin will be dead, this issue will be dead but bitcoin won't be. There are just like a lot of people who are very jealous from the success of others. Yes you right, bitcoin realy usefull this day, bitcoin was help so many people to make the financial to be better by investing in bitcoin. Bitcoin would not be die becouse the fact is bitcoin users are always increase every day and the mosr of the are youth who have big interest with the future of technology. I just hope you will listen to my suggestion because we will never gonna see bitcoin dead again. It always worries me when I see bitcoin pumping because I know it's the big holders making it happen....If they're pumping the price to get a good exit value, then that could be bad....Maybe it's time to short? Nevertheless, it's always good to be prepared for the worse case scenario....Remember The Dutch Tulip Bubble of 1637? ( http://www.economist.com/blogs/freeexchange/2013/10/economic-history )

Those people who always say about bitcoin is dead are just trolling for sure or just don't have any trust to bitcoin for long terms or just they really hate bitcoin but I cant see anything into bitcoin that would people would really hate it.

It is really not going to happen as bitcoin will become the most used crypto currency all over the world, even though there are alt coins around. Still those developers who are saying that bitcoin is dead just to shift with their invention, I don't think so they will become success. More people are now trusting bitcoin.

If you are thinking that bitcoin is dead for sure, then can you pleae transfer all your bitcoin to me? I will be ready to take responsibility of your bitcoin gladly. I will never complain to you. Can you do that??
I don't understand why people like you are trying to demoralise people from using bitcoin?? I guess, you just want to buy bitcoin in a cheaper price. Don't do it, let people use whatever they want freely, not everyone is a fool, they know how to make better choice. And frankly speaking, as of now, bitcoin looks like the best choice to invest in apart from any other currency you had mentioned in your thread.

For now, I can say bitcoin will not be dead a year after this post. I said it since the development of bitcoin still continues, it's users continue to grow as day pass by. It will probably die I think if the government have seen it as a threat in the fiat currency in the future but that happening now seems to be fast. Believe in it, it will last long now probably it will still last for years to come.

Bitcoin is the "basement" for other coins price, without bitcoin I can't see other coins rising or have success, the current price of bitcoin shows that bitcoin has a lot of potential and the price of $685 is just awesome for now and hope that at the end of the year we will see it at $800.

While I may be over interpreting things, I think he is paraphrasing a saying in chess that goes something like: The king is dead long live to the new king. So I think that comment was meant as a joke, since people keep killing bitcoin but right now there’s nothing better so bitcoin keeps being king. But as I said I may be reading too much on that short comment

bitcoin currency is on the internet. only the people who hate bitcoin who said that bitcoin will die. I am sure that bitcoin will continue to grow and spread throughout the country in the world. I also believe that soon all countries will accept bitcoin, because I believe bitcoin can easily change the state of a country's economy for the better. when it happens, I'm sure there can be no saying that bitcoin will die
