I have a few questions for you neguinho that may help us better understand your issue:

1. Did you do a rescan after everything was synced?
2. Was the missing ESP already in your wallet or were they being sent from an exchange, and if it was an exchange, which one?

No fun mining if you're trying to stake ESP. I still get dozens of orphans and no actual reward in 24 hours; something has to be done about this (I am running the latest wallet, with the bootstrap reloaded).

As has been said several times here and on Discord, you should not try to stake until the forking problems have been solved.

Instead of being a smartass, and making fun about the fact I don't read each and every answer from each and every thread, you guys should realize that there is a problem with ESP, and perhaps this problem is related to this big drop in price. Let's be humble and let's actually start working on this issue; it's been like, quite a few months now. There was plenty of time to fix it, why is it not still fixed in latest version. Disappointed.

Bring stakers back onboard. Proof of work is a waste of electricity. Staking provides an economical reason for people to buy ESP, rather than buying wasteful mining equipement. An economical reason to buy ESP is exactly what ESP needs right now (because right now there is no reason to buy).

PS. I'm not on Discord, don't know what it is, don't wanna know either; and your smartass attitude is not making make me want to know more.

Agree 100%. PoS needs to be fixed, and it is what CC is working on right now!   Regarding "plenty of time", he had personal problems for many months and just recently he was able to continue working on it again. As far as I can see, there has been constant development since then, and he's also showing up on Discord periodically.

Discord is similar to Slack, except that it is made for open communities instead of business teams. It's a chat system that has different channels for general discussion, dev discussion, wallet support etc.. It is linked in the ANN post.

It's just strange when these questions get asked over and over again, and very often I'm the one who is answering it...   It makes me wonder why people expect to be kept up to date, but don't do anything to stay up to date themselves...   I've created an FAQ some months ago when we faced similar problems, maybe I should revive it again!

Why did it happen? How can I return lost my coins?

close your wallet, right click on the wallet icon, create shortcut
then right click on the shortcut you just made and go to properties
in the properties section, in the "Target" box, go to the end of the string (outsided of the parenthesis if there are any) and add this:
-rescan
click on apply, and then okay
then open your wallet with the shortcut
you only have to do this once

This will take a bit of time since the chain is pretty big, but at the end your wallet should have all your transactions and missing funds show up.

So im on the same chain as the block explorer and staking since the soft fork. Should i still stop staking until the staking is fixed, or is it ok if i continue letting my wallet open?

If it works for you, it's fine. But it is not guaranteed to work for everyone because of this certain bug that is currently being worked on. So you are kind of lucky in this case.

I don't think CC is working on too many other projects besides Espers right now, but of course we don't know... I think he has been offered money for hiring additional devs several times in the past, but iirc he said that finding suitable devs is not so easy. Unlike other projects which are only about improving the wallet interface, Espers is very low-level and often the development work directly deals with changes to the protocol. Most other devs who would be knowledgeable enough to do this kind of work, already have their own project, just like CryptoCoderz himself. The trailing "Z" was definitely meant to cover multiple blockchain experts to work together, as I am interpreting it.    But right now it's only one of them (yet), plus all the people in the team doing supplemental work like infrastructure, website etc.

if your wallet got incorrect value, add -rescan=1 to espers.comf once, or -rescan to .bat file

I agree, but the team also posted that CC had a fix for the wallet a week ago and that they were 'currently testing it', as stated here:

CryptoCoderz has just finished fix for chain issue and we are currently testing it.

I'm not a coder, so I don't know how long 'testing it' takes, but if you bring out information like that and don't follow up with some technical update, it sounds like you're just making up excuses and stalling..

I'm still holding the majority of my Esp though, because I still beleive in the project in the long run, but I feel like some changes in their marketing or maybe even an extra programmer (as stated before) could make a huge difference.

Well, ESP has a pretty ambitious Roadmap posted on the OP (which is great); and money can buy talent, anytime. You can train talented programmers to become crypto programmers.
