I'm not sure what you're referencing by work discarded. Is that an error that your mining software is putting out? 

For that matter, what mining software are you using? I've heard mixed results with sgminer on the newer RX series cards.

This update integrates PoS v3 protocols and improves peer handling within the wallet as well as syncing and security updates.
A few other things such as Ubuntu 18.04 compatibility has also been addressed with a new readme file on our github that explains how to build the new wallet for those of you using Linux.

Only espers version working for me is 0.8.6.7 and the i dont have any connections , although addnodes a plenty
in this wallet I have over 1,000,000.00 esp and the other wallets 000000 although same esp address !!

Everything ok. I have updated from 0.8.7.2 to 0.8.7.3
