normally we try to buy more when bitcoin price goes down. because there is high chance of bitcoin price go high. so buying is obvious. but if bitcoin price goes down as 1$ and no chance for getting up, then I'll quit bitcoin.
Yeah majority of users will prefer to quit bitcoin if it falls that low as then there are very less chances that it will go higher again in future. i doubt that a lot of people would quit using bitcoins then because in my opinion the price of it is going to grow even if it drops so there would be a lot of new investors i would buy a lot of bitcoins then in order to get as much profit out of the dump as possible, i think in this way the whole bitcoin thing would grow even stronger as more people would use it |

Wow, bitcoin down to 1$... that would be cool indeed. I guess i would buy about goddamn 1000 btc and put it all at primedice or other btc gambling site: then win a fortune  Im so sorry its not possible  At a moment you are feeling it cool as price is higher now, but suppose if you are holding 100 coins in your wallet and suddenly it falls to $1 then you will go mad and will not prefer to buy even a single coin, 1000 bitcoins is out of imagination. that's the risk of holding many bitcoin man,price rising will not giving affect a lot to those who having a little amount of bitcoin but will give a lot of effect to people who owning so many bitcoin and so does with the price falling I think the price will not move down to $1. but what i still feel is that the person who has a lot of bitcoins, a slight movement of price up and down can bring extreme results to his profits and loss. |

That is one good of a positive way thinking. You got a lot of trust in this currency and I think that is great. Bitcoin needs a lot of supporters now to get the popularity it needed. Everyone needs to have the same positive thinking. Bitcoin won't drop to such a low value even if mining is stopped by the miners at present, because surely someone else starts mining which won't allow the price to go down. |

bitcoin 1 $ oh i will buy 500 btc and hold it till it go up again  This is really a good idea and plan to do once it reached the price of $1. Just like what early bitcoin people did. They bought thousands of bitcoin at a very low price and they just hold it until today. And now they are rich. The chance is low that it can happen and that is because it is now around this time rising so that is nice for the people who already have Bitcoin and are waiting for the right moment to sell it. But it wont be that bad and if that will happen than many people will stop using Bitcoin. I would do the same, perhaps borrow a few more so i can buy more. Holding on to it until there is a great price surge and sell. But that hypothetical, and so much far from reality. We all know that bitcoin price have risen to about 50-60+% more just last month and no way |

I've read this thread and I was so happy to see that most of the commments are either like "We ALL know this isn't going to happen." or "If it happens I'll buy as much coins as I can". This is exactly what I'm thinking too, Bitcoin will survive anyway.

If bitcoin dropped to the price of a dollar (which we hope it never will), what would you do? Buy more and hold, sell? Buy a promising altcoin like ETH?
I personally would buy more bitcoin.
There is not much that I can think off but to buy as many of them because $1 for a Bitcoin is nothing to what the price is now at the moment. I think that so many people would do it that there would be no Bitcoins left to buy because of the price being so low. |

If the bitcoin dropped to one dollar i think there will be allot of peopel who are quitting with the bitcoin because they dont see future in it any more
so when the bitcoin goes to just one dollar he is going to disappear.

As EcuaMobi said, there isn't really enough information as to why it would have dropped to such a low value. For all we know it was one person who sold really low.
If it did go to $1 permanently, however, chances are I would back out of Bitcoin and likely forget about it. The userbase would likely die quite quickly.
What would you do that is not a quiet difficult question because i think that everyone is going to dump their coins or just leave them in the wallet and not even look back at it maybe once in a year or something like that. |

What I would do is buying as many as possible bitcoins to gain as much as possible profit when the bitcoin is rising again.
In the most times the bitcoin gets back up again to a nice worth and than investing is worth it for me and its also cheap.

Yeah exactly that was the idea there when it drops to that price .many bitcoiners will buy more so the supply and the demand will follow then the price will up again . |

But if you are wise thinker guys, you will take it as a good chance of buying a lot of bitcoin. Because that is going to be a good chance for a start again with bitcoin. It will be really difficult for people to believe that bitcoin will rise again in future after falling to $1, but you can always buy some and keep safe for the future. I agree, and what is really making nonsense is people don't want to think bitcoin dropped at that point in the first place. You and also me don't want to see bitcoin dropped like that. |
